im growing out my hair, my bangs, and my eyebrows. i decided that im more myself with long hair. im a lion, what can i say.
and my eyebrows, i kinda tweezed them too thin. not thin compared to anyone else's standards, i still have more eyebrows than most people. but i want them thicker, like i had them when i was a bit younger.
the process is painful, annoying, and sloooow. how do other people deal!>!>@!>@1312kj4g132i4gf^%$

It's very attractive when girls keep their eyebrows unplucked, IMO.

"When They Really Get To Know You They Will Run" by Pedro the Lion
what makes you think
that it won't grow back
in a day or two
husbands in winter
they know the truth
but what can they do
i don't like girls the way they are
so shave their legs
and make them look like movie stars
then we can pretend it's natural
put on whatever makes you attractive
if it's not you then do it for the sake of fashion
your friends like a certain you
that's who you've got to be
junior high legs
blonde hair gone brown
from removing it
waxing since thirteen
wisdom from a beauty queen
her tiara diggin deep in her head
i'm starting to think that i'm kind of shy
or at least i'd like to be
winter legs give me heart attacks
so take it off with lasers
so it never comes back
then we can pretend it's natural

I think a lot of women can pull off armpit hair.
Leg hair is more difficult, but not impossible.

Yeah, they just use tweezers, right?

take a good liquid b complex. it'll grow faster.
my hair grows so damned fast i've given up on trims. i just settle for a haircut every few months, and people always go "oh wow! you got a new style!" no, i just chopped my goddamn MANE.

What do you mean exactly by "pull off"?
My leg hair rules, it's really light and soft so even if I got a while without shaving it isn't gross.
I don't do anything to my eyebrows...I once had them waxed at some free spa thing but I didn't see much of a difference (even though my dumb friend was like OMG they look sooo much better...but she's into all that stupid shit). Luckily mine do well without any maintenance.
I am also growing out my hair and I'm excited!

it sucks having (sorta) light skin and really dark follicles. it makes me not want to show off my otherwise bitchin' gams.

sometimes, i really wish women could go au naturel and not shave their legs and stuff. but then i see a woman with hairy legs and i change my mind. i will shave my legs if only to not contribute to the grossness that is women who show off hairy legs.
and i have a similar problem as cosmo. light skin + dark hair = need to keep a razor handy.

yep. even a day later, my skin's still smooth, but it looks rgagrhghh. :(
you know, women didn't shave up until WWII. there was this huge oversupply of razors that men weren't using, so gillette started advertising - wouldn't it be great for him to come home to nice, smooth legs? fuckin' war

You think that's true? Why don't women in centuries' worth of paintings have hairy legs, then?

Not too many of the men have either in old paintings.

That's because all men shaved their legs until WWII, when they foisted off the razors on the women.

I really want to grow my hair out. Not Early Metallica long, but that full inbetween not too long and too long.
Something like this (http://www.videoclub.ro/images/actori/eddiecahill.jpg)
I don't think it would work for me, plus I don't have the dreamy blue eyes this guy has.

eyebrows that look like pencil-thin, dyed arcs: not so good
for me personally: I don't keep underarm or leg hair. I don't care what other women do.
for guys: I don't like the shaved-chest look but I don't like a lot of hair there either

I just recently got my eyebrows waxed for the first time
I enjoy them highly even though I was scared to get it done, I didnt have bushy brows before but definately thicker than most chicks
and I wish I could grow my hair out to its full hippy dippy magnitude again, buts its still falling out like a hot damn so thats not an option

because their hair was fine enough not to be reproduced? and uh painters were trying to conserve paint and I DON'T KNOW A SOCIOLOGY PROFESSOR TOLD ME THAT ONCE. GOD!

That's why I wax (doesn't hurt as much as tweezing, cuz it's faster and therefore alot less painful) - I'll tweeze a few random eyebrow hairs when needed.

people have always told me to something about my forearm hair... i've never seen a problem with it. the hair isn't even that noticable... i mean it's visable but not like a chimpanzee's arms or anything... i tried taking it off once, and it just didn't look right, so i'm keeping it.
and speaking of eye brows, i tried to do that vanilla ice thing where i shave slits in my eye brows... didn't look right. thank god it grew out... i did it way back when i was 13 and it was cool... yeah, cool for the guys, everyone thought i had stitches put in :p

Sorry. Doubting was my knee jerk reaction.
Seems that, yes, women's leg-shaving numbers climbed in a big way at the time you say. It's odd to think of women having leg hair under those Victorian dresses, but, you know. Whatever.
Shaving's been around since cave-dwelling days, though, but maybe that was mostly for beards.

i was the last girl in my old class who started using tweezers + razors, and now i'm overpowered by those stupid tools. i wish i had that power + motivation to let my eyebrows grow thicker + longer again.

im a monkey :( and i hate the look of hair. it's not ladylike. i dont know. the only hair i was long and dark and strong is the hair on my head. everywhere else, i'd like to be dipped in a vat of nair.

I too am pale with dark hair. I got my mom's delicate skin and my dad's ethnic hair. :( last summer I tried bleaching my arm hair for the first time. I thought it would be creepy, but it actually worked out really well because the hairs are pretty thin. I was like, "omg, I look like a woman!" it grows out way faster than you'd think though.
I want lazer hair removal for my legs and underarms! somebody buy it for me.
I've been growing my head hair out for 3 years now, from above the chin to the middle of my back so far. I'm just gonna keep going to see how long it can get.
