...oh Paul, lie down on the couch here, let's talk about this.

How long has this been bothering you?
How does this make you feel?
When you see a link, what's the first thing that comes to mind?

;)

i generally agree with you. i mean i don't mind posts that are like "check out this site/video it's hilarious, here's what it's about, now go see" or links to news articles with the text of the article (or at least a summary) actually in the post. but when a post consists solely of a link to another site (especially if it's youtube), i generally won't click them. i've developed an internet survival instinct to not click strange links. i'm always afraid of one of those damnable sabotage videos showing up, where they trick you into turning the volume up or looking closely at the screen, then they HIT YOU WITH A DISGUSTING IMAGE AND A LOUD NOISE OMG THAT'S HILARIOUS

so yeah, i don't click links unless i know what they are. i'm SURE i'm guilty of doing everything i just complained about in the past but that just means that i was a douchebag at that particular time. you could at LEAST make your topic titles informative, something other than "haha look at this".

the exception is .jpg's. i'll click those, usually.

what if the link is awesome?

i'd have to know it's awesome before i click the link. like "here's an awesome video of a goldfish fellating a shark". i'd click that. simply "click this it's awesome", probably not

You all probably hate my signature, but I don't care! Just don't click it, haha! I had a signature that was a link exactly what Bob was describing. It was one of them things where it has you read something then all of a sudden a picture of that exorsist bitch pops up and screams. BUT it said "don't click". :D

the only thing worse than those are the "YOU ARE AN IDIOT LINKS" that just multiply whenever you try to close them, so you have to ctrl-alt-delete your browser to fix it. someone did that to me once. once.
