I felt so strongly that I PM'ed Yauch and said he should have another Beastie record done before Chinese Democracy comes out.
So Axl came back out of hiding, with a little David Brent beard, and his braids intact.
I rate Appetite for Destruction as one of the greatest albums of the 20th century, so naturally I'm curious what this new one would sound like if it ever came out. I heard 'Better' and that actually sounds really self-assured, but I also heard 'Shadow of your love' and that just sounds like a poor mans 'Reckless Life/You're Crazy'.
I think the story of this album may prove to be more interesting than the disc itself, but he's said the new compositions are very Queen-like, so that could be a good thing. He also said that there's something like 26 songs they're getting ready (the same claim he made in 2002).
