From some hiphop gossip rumored to be true:

Q-Tip (from A Tribe Called Quest), Posdonous (from De La Soul) & JuJu (from The Beatnuts) formed a group in 1992 called "The Fabulous Fleas". They recorded several tracks, but none of which have ever been released.

Around the same time, Q-Tip was also part of a group called "The Nasal Poets" consisting of himself, Adrock (from The Beastie Boys) and B-real (from Cypress Hill). Again, no material has been released from this project either.

I would love to hear some tracks from this....

I may be wrong, (it's been about a decade+ I suspect) but in one of the first couple issues of Grand Royal - I believe Mike D. interviews Tip. Brother D asks Q-Tip about the rumored project of him, B-Real and Addie. If I recall correctly, Tip referred the to the group as the "Nasal Poets" - I could dig up the issue in the vault, but it would take a minute. (some great other questions about whether Tip preferred Brother Jack McDuff to Lonnie Smith I believe....)

Then on "Squat" with De La, Adrock comes out with Nasal Tongue play on Native Tongue as mentioned.

I am so dam desperate to hear the songs they did (if they did any). Q-Tip an Adrock, what a lethal duo. Seriously next time Yauch is online that is a quesiton that needs to be asked.

The link posted above by U-Stubs is a word for word copy of the interview from Grand Royal #1...I'm sure at that point either Mike or Tip were not 100% concerned with getting the name right as Nasal Poets or Tongues...more importantly - release the material from the vaults.

I really don't think any Nasal Tongue/Poet's material was ever recorded...it seems like more of a joke than the Fleas group. Thats what I gather...
