View Full Version : The outfit I have for St. Patrick's Day is really hot

But I'm scared it's too hot...for me...does that make sense?
It's a green shirt and same color green miniskirt with fishnets and heels. I could substitue the heels for my green sneakers though...
I know it's hot but I get paranoid about dressing up for parties like this cause I'm afraid I'll be overdressed and I don't want anyone to think I'm a slut or something :(
Dammit...

I tried to take a pic to see what it looked like but couldn't really get a good shot.
I guess I'll just see how I feel tomorrow...

I'm not really trying to look hot for anyone else though...just myself. I don't know if that's egotistical or not
There's only one person that I'd care to impress, and he's not gonna be anywhere near this party.

I don't buy that...if this outfit was for you there wouldn't be an issue you would either wear it cus you felt comfortable in it or not.

I mean that, in "for myself", of course I would like to look good to other people, but it's more as a "sweet, I look hot", than a "I want someone to kiss my boobs" situation.
I'm just not sure because usually around this crowd I'm wearing like some tshirt I got at a used clothing store and an old sweater with jeans.

Human beings are driven to have sex. No matter how much you bag on it, it won't change. 1000+ years of Catholicism has already tried and failed.

Maybe you'd be more comfortable in your jeans, rather than have to worry if you are hot or not - especially if you are not trying to impress anyone.

i don't think this thread progressed the way dandy intended.
dandy, forget the fishnets....those don't look good on anyone, short of dominatrixes.
it's an urban myth that they look good.
they just get associated with sex, historically, so they continue to be used because of that fact...not because they are stylish or flattering.
wearing them implies one thing: "look at these! i like to fuck dirty! sex! yeah! fucking! yeah!"
it's the equivilent of wearing a "my boyfriend is out of town" tshirt.

Barb, you're a girl, and it's okay to dress up, have fun and be girly every once in a while. I used to think being girly was silly, but now I've found myself in slacks and heeled boots, shoes or sandals more than my usual old T's and jeans. It's nice feeling pretty.
I'm dressing up tonight ,too. I have an olive green sweater and an above-the-knee plaid skirt I'll be wearing with heeled boots. I'm not even going anywhere, but some friends are coming by to hang out since I have Aiedyn this weekend.
Flaunt your hotness, Barb. You're a sight for sore eyes, baby. Be proud of it!

Hmm..I've always seen fishnets as a way to tone down or punk out a sexy outfit- make it a little less serious and more fun. I guess it all depends on what you are wearing. If you're wearing stilletos, a mini skirt and a tight shirt, I can see fishnets screaming "Fuck me!", but Barb's outfit doesn't seem THAT risque.

well, if she's going for the "absurd", i guess they can come off as a novelty.
meaning it would look more like a "costume" than an outfit.

What do you want us to say? This thread is just for attention, wear the puta clothes, who cares?
And post pics.
S'true. I'm bringing my jeans with me in case I want to change.
If I wear the heels it will be a "hot" outfit, if I wear the sneakers it's more like a costume. I wanted to wear green tights instead of fishnets but I didn't have any time to go get some.
And Q, no, fishnets look awesome. My legs ROOL

^but is it street legal to wear a shirt that says kiss me I'm irish if Im sicilian?
Sarky Devotchka
03-17-2006, 12:41 PM
yes.
cort has a green sweatshirt that says, "pray for me, my husband is IRISH!" with a lady on her knees praying. she doesn't have a husband at all! unless I'm the husband...and I'm only an eighth irish.
it's okay to lie on st. patrick's day.

I'm sicilian too! But I'll still be irish today.
Dandy, I think you should wear the outfit.
I used to be a total jeans and t shirt person but I decided I wanted to branch out and sometimes I just had to make myself step out of my comfort zone.
Eventually it got easier and I started to get a better idea of things that I wanted to try.
Go for it, its all in how YOU wear it. If you feel uncomfortable people will pick up on it, but if you go in there rocking your green like a queen people will think its awesome.

SARKY IM 1/8th IRISH TOO OMGBBQSHRIMP!Q!\|!!!
I never show my cleavage, I dont even debate it ever really
Ive gone "out" maybe 3 times and worn a tank top or something and I just dont dig it
I mean I enjoy it when my friends stick their faces in my cleavage, start jiggling away and make brrrrrrrrrrrrrring noises but I hate the looks and etcs etcs from strangers
Id much rather get looks because I wore a tuque and sweat pants with one leg rolled up and a tshirt that says "its not a bald spot its a solar panel for a sex machine" to the club
this is why I enjoy getting superficial attention due to physical attributes via the internet KTHANXBYE

Don't wear the heels, that's overdressing it. You'll be cuter and more comfortable in sneakers, especially since you're wearing fishnets. People will think you're funky and silly instead of needy to be looked at by men.
