or any kind of coffee table philosophy crap.

Not because I cant hold my own in an argument, but because as soon as the other person opens their mouth I stop listening and patiently wait my turn to speak again while thinking about something else as they speak.

I find a way to lose arguments even if they revolve around my personal opinion.

i think most people do that for most conversations. though not all of them do the "patiently wait my turn" part. i know this one guy who will literally finish your sentence for you (and then try to take credit for whatever it was that you were saying), and then immediately talk about something else. he's very difficult to talk to, i've stopped trying

That's because, especially in the US, just about anyone is ignorant, predictable, two-dimensional and boring. None of you guys have anything interesting to say.

well, AIDS is taking it up a step. I would have started with insinuating fathering children with someones mother, awaited a witty insult, and then maybe jumped to the AIDS jokes.
