we were just talking about rls, and i just noticed when i was washing my face looking in the mirror that this http://www.aocd.org/skin/dermatologic_diseases/tinea_versicolor.html has come back again. rest assured that mine isnt nearly that bad, i get it mostly just on my neck, a few spots. the pink kind in the bottom picture. ive already put some goop on it so i should be good again in a couple days. aside from that i have a variety of other things that i should probably see a doctor for... im waiting till i have a career and health insurance. im sure that thing where sometimes my heart beats really fast can wait....
anyone else get the wacky skin spots?

oh my gosh! i think that may be what my boyfriend has. it's quite common.
it just doesn't go away ever, gah! it doesn't irritate, but it's all over his neck and chest. looks like a fleshy lizard, heh! his doctor gave him some steroid cream type stuff but it doesn't do anything. he has very sensitive skin. it doesn't bother him.
i get spots sometimes of course, but my skin is fine in general. bad circulation but meh.

i use some antifungal cream and it usually goes away. i think what i got is actually for athletes foot or something but meh-whatever. also it helps to get shampoo with... i think it's 1% selenium solution, we have a brand called selsun blue, i think its supposed to be for hardcore dandruff or something, but that helps. wash with it like soap and leave it on for a little while before you rinse it off. only thing is it smells aweful. and yeah, it never really goes away. you can treat it clears up for awhile but it will always come back. i think i could actually keep it under control if i wasnt too lazy, i bet if i could get myself in the habit of washing my neck with that shampoo stuff every once in awhile it would keep it from coming back. it doesnt really bother me, i just dont want it to spread and get terrible like those people in the pictures. ive only ever got it on my neck and chest though.

I used to have that spotty rash thing. Selsun cleared it right up, better than the pills and cream the doc gave me for it (u get selsun at the supermarket)
edit - just noticed that inh mentioned selsun. You want to get the yellow selsun not the blue. It's gone completely for me now and havn't seen it in ages, but I used the selsun for a few weeks. also i didnt use the selsun as directed, I'd actually get out of the shower and while still wet rub it in, then just kinda pat myself dry and let the rest air dry. also i would do it morning and night.

i have very dry skin, although you wouldnt notice.
i have to use facial soap in the shower, if i use regular soap my face will be read/dry. I also have to use lotion afterwords and throughout the day.
Along with eating healthy, exercising and washing my bed sheets. The condition is under control

holy shit! thats what i have!!! i never knew the proper name. my mum always called them milk pimples, and said it was from drinking too much milk as a kid. i guess she was on the right track. i also have aquagenic urticharia, which basically means my skin is allergic to any type of liquid, including water, and sweat. if i have a long shower or if im in a pool or beach water for too long i get hives all over my back and torso. i also get random hives on my faces, which really really fuck me off :(
beat that.

i dont have a problem but i have this olive on my head (its like a bit above my ear) , that i got as a birthmark and its kinda kool coz apparently my grandma (dads side) had one in the exact same spot, and it like runs in her family or something, although none or my siblings or my father have it, apparently some of my cousins in greece do and its always in the same spot for each person.
