they've been around for ages and used to be kinda funny but now we even get it here in NZ and shit sucks. full of ads for Sony and rubbish bands. I don't really know how to describe their style nowadays but if I tried there would be lots of swearing. still, it's free so whatever.

There is a decent article about a subject I'm totally unaware off in every issue. Best thing I read was about a guy spending 3 days among the homeless of Berlin. Sick shit, he got some tongue at night from a toothless bum...
And hey, its free anyway, so WTF?

Exclaim is more on point than any mainstream music magazine I can think of. Not that that's saying a lot. Their opinions on hip hop kinda suck, though.

I haven't picked up any issues if Vice for at least a year. But in '98, '99 I was pretty into it. Their Do's and Don'ts of fashion were quite humorous. They fell off kinda badly, though.

I haven't looked at it in awhile. sometimes I read Magnet, but I get kind of sick of reading music magazines that get boners over stuff that ends up sucking in my opinion. Like The New Pornographers. bleh. boring shit.

Las issue (Fiction) kinda sucked. The "your coolest story" issue was a hunnerd times better... It needs to be more internationalized as well. At least I got some new Dos & Donts to look at...

i picked up a few copies back in '98 and didn't see what the fuss was all about. not only was the writing pretty mediocre, but i thought it was such a contrived concept, ie 'ohhhh look at us, we're all in your face and controversial, with plenty of racey advertising, t&a, demeaning women and blood and stuff'.
