As I got inside the theater I met up with Weezman and Mrs. Weezman. Supercool folks. The ticket guy told me they sold about 100 tickets in advance and that the theater seats 300. I would say there were probably only 50-60 in there though.

I enjoyed the mini-movie, but I agree with Rich Cheney in the other thread. It could have been much more. A bit of dry humor. And pretty much a boring day in the life of Hornblower. The highlight for me was the meeting with the Adams.

I loved AIFST. The sound could have been turned up quite a bit though. It was not nearly loud enough. The movie did a great job of capturing the vibe of a concert for me. I think I was over-prepared for all the quick cuts and edits and thought there would actually be more.

Paul Revere was one of my favorite parts. With the bass effect. You can also see BBMBer Sethomas during Paul Revere.

I was at Lincolnshire too. I was expecting more people also. And what an odd mix of people... who brought those little kids?!? And the guys in the back that left 5 minutes into the movie but not before asking me "what would you think if this was interactive?" What was that about....

AIFST was sweet though but it could have been louder. Non-the-less I was really hyped afterward and cranked Check Your Head all the way home. I'm going to see it again on the 31st but at a different theater. OH, and I'm the lucky one who remember to ask for the movie poster out of the light box! A real life AIFST movie poster of my very own!

EDIT: I have one complaint: The bass guitar close up thing. Was that paid advertising from the guitar company? That pissed me off a bit. Then they did it again. Why do that fake guitar thing at all? Let alone twice?

Lucky bastard...getting the poster. I asked for it...but you bamboozled it first. :)

The family was pretty cool. They had about an 8 year old with blue or green hair. A three year old and one in the oven too. Now that's a Beastie Family.

On the bass guitar thing...I didn't see that as advertising. It was just a cool way to focus on the bass in the song in an artsy/cinema way. I mean...they had the close up of Adrock's shoe, but I didn't see that as advertising.

I too was in the shire. I think i was sitting right behind lavr and weezman.

I teach at the local high school and have students that work at the theater. I had a student working on getting me the poster but it too looked like i was bamboozeled.

Love the show and can't wait for the brew and view on Sheffield to get a hold of the film to show it. that i way i can enjoy a brew and a view of the film again.

could of done or done w/o the day in the life. Although there was a few witty parts but nonetheless i was expecting more.

What's up guys. I was at Lincolnshire too. I was like right behind the guy that brought those kids. It was kind funny cuz his little girl seemed to be loving the show. Too bad that wasn't in the IMAX theatre right? I've got to admit intially with the camera angle switching and fuzzy shots I was like WTF..is THIS what it is? But then there were plenty of really good moments. All and all when I left I truly felt like I was coming home from a concert.

I too was at the Lincolnshire show, directly behind the pregnant women of the "beastie family", sportin' my oscilloscope T-shirt and all. Thought it was a good time. The hornblower movie was a bit dry, but it fit the British humor style that Yauch's so fond of. The film was cool, Hello Brooklyn was my favorite, though my eyes were all fucked up after. Overall, I thought it was well worth the wait (and $10), will probly hit it up again.
