Ive been doing webpages for about 2 yrs. now and i feel that my skills are still not that great. There are alot of stuff i dont know. I use Maromedia Dreamweaver and Photoshop for design.
I want to be able to encorporate flash into my websites also but all that code throws me off. I would also like to know how you manage the messgage boards here? Ive done applets before but they are pretty much plugins, not much code involved is that the same here?
Are there any web tutorial websites that you go to, or portfolio sites. I love your design scheme BTW. Any help or advice you can give will be helpful and greatly appreciated.

We use software called vBulletin (http://www.vbulletin.com/) to run the forums. So all the layout and design is done through the settings inside that which we manage. We code everything else by hand typically using PHP and HTML.
As for tutorial sites to help you out etc., I'm not too sure as I personally don't use anything like that.

all Flash is, is code. of course you can design the still-graphics but to get them to do shit - gotta learn that shit, son.

I too design Websites Jmoney and use Flash quite a bit. Flash 8 is the latest release. It has a few cool features like effects much like the layer effects available in Photoshop. If you have any version of Flash (preferably Flash MX or Flash 8), you can check out Flashkit (http://www.flashkit.com).. This site has alot of tutorials. I would also recommend going right to the source...Macromedia (http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/). If you don't have any reference material on Flash you will want to read through the documentation and perhaps bookmark the site.
Long story short, you 'embed' a flash movie into a normal webpage using a combination of the <embed>..</embed> and <object>..</object> tabs. Alot of the code is generated automatically within Flash when you 'Publish' your work. Like HTML and CSS, just familiarize yourself with the tools and practice, practice, practice...

A site called www.w3schools.com (http://www.w3schools.com) is useful for starting out! you have html, xml, css, c++, pearl, php, ASP, flash etc, etc......or simply you can buy books on beginners guide to flash! these are very handy.

For sure man. Here is a simple splash page i'm working on for my cousin. It has 2 links to 'Pictures' and 'Information'. Nothing earth-shattering but it's a working example.

here's a site my group and i constructed for an assignment... VERY basic as the client didn't want flash and all that flashy shit. i'm responcible for the layout, the basic logo (i had to create it from scratch) and majority of the content. i'm happy with it. nice and easy.
