Brits can go far with the USD, it's pretty cheap over there for us. I've a friend doing a year placement over there and despite the expense of actually travelling there she's more well off there than what she might be at home.

cost O'living is quite high herrrr in BC though

Ive only ever been to seattle while stateside, so I cant really gage that against the rest of the country, but everything seemed to be either about the same prize or more expensive
especially eating out, I was like "sheeee-it"
booze and shoes were hella cheaper though

sheesh, 5.45 an hour?? when i was 18 i was working at mcdonalds i was getting $13.36 an hour. now i get 14.50 an hour in my currentjob but im full time so i also get 4 weeks holiday a year and a free car and free mobile phone. as i told my boss, theres 2 things i can guarantee you, ill take a crap every day, and i want more money.
