yeah, it is not without its charm.

Jinx is a pretty consistently strong album, despite it being pure rap/rock.

Stick em Up gets me fucking pumped.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything other than Jinx, but for the most part I like it.

When i listen their songs i feel the same energy when i listen to a RATM song. Im not comparing them cause i know their quite different from each other (or maybe not...i dont know)

Check out quarashi.tk if you're interested in Quarashi music/lyrics.

Quarashi has released 4 albums, 5 if you include the music they produced for a theater play. They are:

Quarashi(self titled) - 1996
Xeneizes - 1999
Kristnihald Undir Jokli - 2000
Jinx - 2002
Guerilla Disco - 2004

Yeah, they released an album in 04. It featured MC Tiny as the new frontman because Hossi(the old one) left in early 03 to finish college.

They're got alot of good stuff. Jinx & Guerilla Disco you can buy online. Xeneizes too but it's kinda hard to find. You will find afew songs on Jinx on the Xeneizes album such as: Stick 'Em Up, Tarfur & F*ck You Puto. But anyway, all their older songs can be found on limewire or something. Check em out...

There is a difference tho. All 3 of Quarashi's emcees are featured on the original Stick Em Up. The thing about Quarashi is that they have 3 emcees but only 2 will appear on a song. On Quarashi & Xeneizes, it features Hossi & Steini as the main 2 because they were the only 2 for the those 2 albums. Omar joined after the Xeneizes album. Hossi & Omar were then featured on the Jinx CD, which was more of a CD with redone songs & acouple new tracks such as(Baseline, Malone Lives & Copycat). After Jinx, Hossi left to return to school in Iceland. A younger emcee from Iceland by the name of MC Tiny joined as the new frontman & they did 2004's "Guerilla Disco" which was released everywhere but America(no major label made an offer). Then, last year, the guys in Quarashi disbanded. At first, Omar left. Then Steini was taking time off to be with his newborn child. Then they all just disbanded. They're all still friends. They just don't make music anymore. Steini has an instrumental CD being released sometime later this year under thename "ca.1". Should be good. You can more Q info @ their blog/website

You can download Switchstance (their first album, an EP), Xeneizes (their best album), and Guerilla Disco (their final album) for free at tonlist.com.

If you're listening to Quarashi for the first time, then I suggest you download "Mr. Jinx". That's their best song and it's what turned me into a fan. Then, I would suggest downloading "Baseline". That is the song that pretty much confirmed that I had to keep listening to these guys. The first time I heard that song I could have sworn that Adrock and Mike D must have done it. But then I listened to it again a few months later, and I realized that that couldn't be true. Maybe I wasn't really paying attention to it the first time.

Which song? "Mr. Jinx" or "Baseline"?

they are fun to listen to. A lot of the songs strike me as Beastie-influenced, that's for sure.

I talked to Solvi(drummer/producer) around when I first heard of em. Their main influences are Beasties/RATM/Led Zeppelin & afew other ppl too
