george had to go the emergency room. they had to squeeze his bladder and shoot pee out. later he peed out a clump of blood. he's feeling better now, but he keeps peeing all over the house. in a box, on some mad libs, on cort's harachis.

and now some dudes are outside shouting in some language, probably polish, sawing things and banging around on my windows. I have to take my bike out the back door. which is annoying!

anybody have any tricks to get a cat to stop peeing on things?

also the vet said something about george's "penis". ha ha, my cat doesn't have a penis! come on! that's gross. he only has balls.

What was wrong with George?

The water was cold. Shrinkage.

No, usually cold water prevents shrinkage, it's hot water that shrinks cotton and blends. And especially wool. Always wash that in cold water, reshape and lay flat to dry. George is fur, so I don't know about that. Maybe dry cleaning is best.

sounds like kidney problems. get him on vitamin c. Halo for pets makes a great C powder made just for cats with kidney/urinary tract problems. take care of it. that's what we had to put my thumper to sleep for :\

You mean like that episode of seinfeld when Elaine didn't know about shrinkage and she thought it was in regards to laundry?

Yeah, I don't have a TV though.

Why do I have to make quotes to get any credit for knowing anything? I could do nothing but post in quotes from TV and movies and everyone would love me. Everyone loves tv and movies, I'd remind them of TV and movies, therefore everyone would love me. As they say in Guiness ads; "brilliant!"

he peed on the mad libs?

did he pee on a noun line or a verb line? either would be pretty acceptable, i think

Cosmo, don't turn around because you're going to see my heart breaking/ don't turn around, I don't want you seeing me cry/Just walk away. It's tearing me apart that you're leaving/I'm letting you go....damnit that's an Ace of Bass song! I'm doing song lyrics not tv/movie quotes. I can't even do this right STUPID STUPID STUPID FUCK!

i always loved the thick-necked guy's solo "raps" during the breakdown.

as she walks away feels the pain getting strong
people in her life they don't know what's going on
too proud to turn around
she's gone

DON'T TURN AROUND

I loved Ace of Bass so much. And at the time I was also majorly into Mariah Carey's Music Box album, Janet Jackson's Janet, Salt-N-Pepa's Very Necessary, and Sons of Soul by Tony! Toni! Tone! I hadn't even discovered The Beastie Boys yet. I was probably about 12 or 13. I still jame to Whatta Man. "Spends time with his kids...when he can." and I probably still know all the lyrics to Shoop.

oh god. you = soul sister. you got it started.

yes my man says he loves me
never says he loves me not
and he'll rush me good and touch me in the right spot
see other guys that i've had
they tried to play on that mack shit
but every time they tried i said
"that's not it"
but not this man, he's got the right potion
baby rub it down and make it smooth like lotion
he's original something highway to heaven
i'm seven on seven (?) he's got me open like 7-11
and yes it's me that he's always choosing
with him i'm never losing and he knows that my name is not susan (huh?)
he always has heavy conversation for the mind
which means a lot to me
CAUSE GOOD MEN ARE HARD TO FIND

well, I just got home and george isn't dead. the house smells like cat piss and sweaty worker men. yuck.

I got George some wet food, IAMS active maturity. but I'm not sure if that's the best kind or not. I need to do some research.

yes, he peed on "spooky" mad libs. on the inside of the cover and the first page. I ripped them off and put it away. I've had that book for over 16 years! I'm not throwing it away.

he has a bladder infection (as far as they can tell), but no blockage, thank god. my friend's cat Doctor Pirate had a blockage recently and had to get a catheter and have surgery. :( poor baby doctor.

I have to go squirt him in the mouth with antibiotics now. Cort got him some urinary tract supplement that has cranberry, parsley, corn silk, uva ursi, couch grass root, slippery elm, butcher's broom, marshmallow root, and horsetail! he likes those, he gobbles em right up.

cosmo105

that'll help him feel better and take care of the symptoms, but you really have to take care of the infection. i guess the antibiotics are a good way to go for that, but i much prefer d-mannose.

Dry cat food, ash content, kidney stones. Your vet is a quack.

Hope George is better, soon.

What brand?

cosmo105

i've only ever tried a couple brands. as long as it's pure d-mannose, you're most likely going to get a high quality product. you can take it in capsules, but i like it better as powder because you can mix it in tea or something and it's basically a sugar so it tastes nice. and it goes to work a little faster. if the uti's really bad, you can take it every few hours. otherwise i'd just take it every day for maintenance if i was worried.

and tell your cat to always pee after sex and wipe front to back.
