Hey NYers, The Vanderbilt Museum's Planetarium in Centerport, NY (on Long Island) is doing a series of laser rock shows.
The Beastie Boys laser light show is Saturday at 8pm for $10.

Planetarium Sky Shows are year-round. For current information call (631) 854-5555.

Friday Evening

8:00 PM - Journey Through the Solar System
9:00 PM - Laser Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

i saw a Bboy laser show at the planetarium here in Vancouver. it was about 17 tracks, kinda fun, more so just cool to hear bboy music really loud.

'We are happy to announce that our laser shows are back and we are currently showing Laser Pink Floyd Dark Dide of the Moon and Laser Beastie Boys every Friday and Saturday nite, the Planetarium show schedule is as follows:' and then they read off the schedule I posted above.
I would call before you decide to go to make sure it's playing that particular day.

If you guys want to wait a few weeks, I'll go on 4/15. I'll even call to see if there's any sort of group deal. Let me know what you want to do.

yes,channel 12 news, twice every hour already. the news anchor even mentioned how exciting it would be just because of the beastie boys music that will be played.

Ok, I just got off the phone with the planetarium.

Good news first... I can reserve tickets for a group if there's about 20 of us going. However, we have to all be there before we are seated. We buy the tickets there, so I don't need to collect money from anyone. I just have to call at least a week in advance to put in the reservation.

Good news #2, it should run for at least a month and perhaps up to 6 weeks.

Now the sucky news ... which also serves as a heads up if you plan on going this weekend .. CALL FIRST.. the machine crapped out and they're not sure when it will be fixed.

In the meantime, please let me know by next Tuesday if you want to join us on 4/15 if things get back up and running. I will call on Wednesday to make a reservation.

Since only 2 of you replied to this, I'm not going to make group reservations. We would need a minimum of 20 people to do it.
