AWESOME!?!?!?

Ok. so I get to the theatre last night, I buy my ticket for $9.25 and popcorn and a soda for $9.50.. I go the ticket grabber guy, a young brother and he says "We aint seating anyone yet".. Ok.. cool... so I sit there and eat popcorn for a few.

A few minutes later the dude says "We are now seating for "Awesome........ .... ....I FUCKIN' shot that".. Everyone laughs and he says "Finally, I'm getting PAID to cuss".. Haha!!

Anyway.. what did y'all think of it? On a scale from 1-10...

I'd give it a 6.. Here's why..

To get this out first, I've been a huge Beastie Boys fan pretty much from Day One.. I knew this was a concert film but I expected a little more especailly coming from the BBoys. They are unbelievably creative so I thought they would throw more stuff in. It pretty much is the concert and that is it. I thought they would have thrown in some stuff before, between and after the songs.. whatever though.. Now I don't know if it was the theatre I was in or they way the movie was made but the sound was NOT good. It actually sounded like it came from the cameras. Maybe that was the point.

The place we saw it had about 25 people there. I couldn't believe it.

I was still getting into the songs. Pretty much no one else was.

I hope the DVD has extras and is remixed or something..

PS I think "Posse in Effect" was not in the film... ??

Yeah, where I saw it there was only about 20 or so peeps as well. I was in front of everyone else so I couldn't see if they were getting into it. To be honest I could've cared less. I was jumpin all over in my seat, chiming in with all the lyrics and shit. I'm definately going to another screening of it.

The sound could've definately been better, if nothing - louder. I am hoping for a bit more out of the dvd extras and what not. (then again, I'm always hoping for a bit more of anything from the bboys) But whatevs, this was sooo much fun to sit through. I just remembered one other thing, that girl at the end saying she was in a coma not long before attending the msg show?! Wow. I was also stoked to see the live performance of 'Hellooooo Brooklyn'.
