What problems are you having with soulseek? Did it just not work, could you not log in, could you not search, did it work but crash? Other? I download pretty much nothing but albums using soulseek, and someone at work today was saying how they couldn't find this song on limewire so I fired up soulseek and found about 4,000 hits in 3 seconds. Then again she might have just been a bit stupid too. But yeah soulseek is still serving me well for music.

hmmm, Azureus seems to be alright. I thought I was going pretty slow, but then I checked the average swarm speeds and I seem to be consistently above that.

azureus has nothing to do with your torrents speeds. it's just the torrent themself that will fuck you up if they're slow. be sure to set your download speed to unlimited and your upload fairly low.

the way I understood was that if there are more people seeding that means the dl speed will be quicker and that if there's some settings on my computer that hinder my connection then that'll slow things down.

I use the free versio0n of ZoneAlarm which I don't think gives you the option to forward ports. I've given Azureus total access to internet and all that though.

I have discarded Azureus in favour of utorrent. apparently utorrent uses less of your computer's resources according to some real-life nerds I know, but I'm just glad to have that mocking yellow face gone.
