Are playing tonight on Conan, I saw them live here in Seattle about a month ago and it was one of the best shows I've been to in quite awhile.

Anybody else checked out this band yet? Pretty strong unit.

They played a bar with tickets going for $8. The band was excellent. If anything they did the job of making wannabe's like Franz Ferdinand and the Killers seem like the junior high wimps they are.

I have to disagree, these guys put on a great show. Joy Division and Bauhaus make great mentors.

Killers are probably high school (grade 9 if we're going by American school systems, which would mean junior high in Canada). But come on, Franz Ferdinand is university (at least an undergrad!).

Anyways, you're definitely somebody whose musical opinion I trust and respect, so it strikes me as a surprise to hear you're into She Wants Revenge.

I've only heard whatever the hit single is called ("I want to fucking tear you apart!") and I wasn't impressed, even though it was listenable. Perhaps the rest of their stuff is better? Maybe it's all just better live?

Maybe I'm the one who is wrong and I haven't seen the light? Hmmmmm...

I can hear that a little bit. The vocals a TAD then the bass line. Yeah.

I thought of Interpol actually when I first heard it. I looked in to their (She Wants Revenge) other stuff but not long enough for something to jump out at me. Thus, I'm undecided.
