....yikes. I'm spending money like water.

I get a new credit card, and I'm totally deluded. My mind switches to: "We have THIS much extra money now."

Now we don't. We have this much extra CREDIT. CREDIT, not MONEY.

Oh well. The Diebenkorn book was at a good price.

And the Ring Lardner book was only a buck. Plus shipping.

And I DESERVED that meal at the restaurant.

And that Can CD. That was only seven fifty with shipping. That's cheap!

*sighs*

my credit sucked and I had to rebuild it and at the time I didnt get shit for credit card invites (obviously).

now all of a sudden a bunch of card companies are offering me shit with higher credit limits and such, and I toss the apps even though its tempting just because I know I will do exactly that and figure it into a budget.

mine now has only a $400 limit but its 9.9% apr and I suppose if I begged them monthly, they would increase the balance.

Yup.

I'm pumping up my credit, too, and now and again I wonder why. To get more credit? To plunge back into (further) debt?

I'm a financial idioso. No restraint.

I've never had a credit card and I don't want one. I work on the principle that if I don't have the money NOW, then I can't buy it NOW!

^
That's pretty great.

I think I grew up getting so accustomed to broken promises that "maybe later" = "never."

Instant gratification takes too long. :)

No shit.

Even now, when I've posted a thread about it -- which would imply that I'm semi-aware -- I was reading about Laurie Anderson and the thought popped into my head, "Hey! You should get [four disc set] United States Live!" Let's go check Ebay!!!"

Yeesh.
