Whether you love emo or hate emo or don't even know what the hell it is (or if it even exists, for that matter), give this a read:

The article divides "emo" in three waves. Going by this, I'll say the first (i.e. Embrace, Rites of Spring) and second waves (i.e. Promise Ring, Sunny Day Real Estate) are great, but it all goes downhill with the third wave (i.e. Fall Out Boy, The Used, etc.).

Nothing Feels Good is such a good fucking album. i never, ever get tired of it.
oh, and i really enjoy "pillars," but that's about all the SDRE i can stomach. i respect them though. the fire theft kinda sucks, however.
