What, in your opinion, are three consecutive songs on an album that make for a great stretch of music? Three awesome songs that are back-to-back-to-back. Three songs that make you go: "That song was awesome! Hey, that song was ALSO awesome! Hey! That song was ALSO ALSO awesome! I can't believe this band/singer made three awesome songs in a row!"

Quarashi-Xeneizes: "Mayday", "Surreal Rhyme", "Show Me What You Can"

Beastie Boys-License To Ill: "No Sleep Till Brooklyn", "Paul Revere", "Hold It Now, Hit It" (And if you add "Girls" and "Fight For Your Right To Party", then you have FIVE awesome songs back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back.)

Beastie Boys-Ill Communication: "Root Down", "Sabotage", "Get It Together"

...you also haven't lived until you've heard the sequence on Jerry Lee Lewis' Live at the Star Club, Hamburg. Oh, man. It just gets more and ferocious, building and building.

It's like he's gotta top EVERYBODY in this one night. He'd already been pretty much banished from rock radio for marrying his cousin, and he's over in Europe with a chip on his shoulder.

He starts with the best version of "Your Cheating Heart" I've ever heard, then tears into the best "Hound Dog," the best "Long Tall Sally" by far, then pulls out a salacious, leering "Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On" to close out the night. Holy crap. On Beck's excellent 5th album "Mutations", the first three tracks are amazing.

Track 1., "Cold Brains" is a very good song, the lyrics are excellent and the harmonica is a perfect touch. Track 2., "Nobody's Fault But My Own", is very haunting, and the sitar instrument gives it an Indian feel. And finally, track 3. my personal favorite song on the album "Lazy Flies", is just great. When I listen to it, I can actually see "myna birds out in the mango's". :D
