That has my vote. As for "fall" in Christianity, I dunno if an abstract concept can "fall." The fall in popularity of organised religions in the west has more to do with our lifestyles and philosophy than historical authenticity.

It doesn't really matter who Jesus' father is anyway because he is descended from King David through his step-father Joseph. Which I never understood why the Bible traced Jesus' lineage through Joseph. If your father is GOD, what does it matter whom your step-father is related to?
But, if Jesus was descended from a Roman soldier, it would at least explain the blonde hair and blue eyes. I personally don't believe it though because I don't believe Jesus ever existed at all. Christianity is just a pastiche of all the religions that came before it.
