I know it's a stereotype, but...

Do some eastern Asian cultures not have articles in their language?

In working on our documentation, we joke about designing a program that will inlcude "a" and "the" throughout one of our guys' stuff. Just wondering why there's a roadblock for some folks who can't seem to remember their articles.

He does get most of the prepositions in there, though.

I am not an expert, but I believe that inflexions are used to indicate anything from number, gender and case, all the way to a person's familial relationship to the audience.
