give me ideas for my art

so, I got invited to have some art up at a place for a whole month! hurrah!

anyway, it's short notice and I want to make something new. I have already sketched a few ideas. I kind of want to have someone dead or shot. I really wanted to have a girl in profile being shot in the stomach with blood splatters blowing out her back...but that's a little too violent me thinks. I'll save that for next year's halloween show.

anyway, I've tentatively titled it "Unable to prioritize content based on its significance to the situation at hand". (yes, it's pretentious, fuck off) and so far it's a lady facing away from a man who is sprawled out on the ground (could be dead, not sure yet). it's going to be three-dimensional and I wanted draw and cut out some random things to put in there. that's where you fine people come in. just shout out some stuff please. perhaps it will trigger something.

yeah, I thought of that lady with the butterflies. I'm more interested in a chest wound though. blowing brains out is a little extreme. also, I think shocking violence is kind of overdone. but a foot in a bear trap keeps coming to mind.

I have a feeling some of you will be disappointed in the finished product, as I will not be including much color. it will be a muted 60's style palette, with no references to pop culture. think brown and sea green with a lot of white.

and subtle! subtle! possibly frightening, melancholy, but not over the top. terse.

The guy should be bleeding jellybeans. Or cereal. It would depend on where he's susatined his fatal wound. Like, if he's been shot in the head, you could have Nerds pouring out. If he's been stabbed in the heart, he could bleed little cinnamon hearts. If he's been shot in the ass, you could have (cooked) ground beef (with taco seasoning) coming out of the wound.

Actually, I think hotdogs are probably less odorous than taco meat. That's if you're gonna go with the meat coming out of his ass idea. But you shouldn't cut them. If you need smaller hotdogs, you could just use cocktail franks.

that would make a good photo perhaps. I'm using an old Ken doll to figure out the proportions of the man laying down. actually it's not Ken, it's some other guy, Skipper's boyfriend...he has brown hair w/ highlights. Ted? I don't know.

Is this going to be like a sequence of dioramas? because that's what I'm thinking. And I'm also thinking some movement and sounds would be nice, like a little radio or record player playing something significant like "The Candy Man Can cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste gooooode!"

Ohhh I just figured out how to incorporate ice cream into this. Ice Sculptures of dead bodies! Brilliant! See that will keep the ice cream fro getting too melty.
