When that story broke a couple of days ago, I sent mail to a friend: "Read this article and give this guy a mob name." He wrote back about two minutes later and said just this: Bernardo "The Scribbler" Provenzano.

edit: He offered this mob name because of this from the BBC article: "He [Bernardo] devised a personal protection system to escape arrest and never communicated with his friends except by written notes carried by trusted lieutenants."

It is just recycling names. I thought the same thing. It's not hooked into a dictionary, looking for nouns or modifier-noun strings. It's just pulling entries from a static list. Which sucks. One a yous oughta take a bat to that program's knees.
