Album: "Feedback" June 27th

which is all well and good, I like J5. But, among the producers is Scott Storch and the lead single feature Dave Matthew's Band. :confused:

hope this isn't some vain attempt to hit it big.

Power in Numbers was fantastic...

but DMB? ugh....not good.

Power in Numbers had to grow on me but Quality Control is in my top favorite albums of all time.

I met Chali 2na when J5 played Lollapalooza in 2003. First thing I asked was "when's the new record dropping?"

he was like "yo, man, 2004 is the year baby! new J5 and we all go solo projects coming."

I reacted with fair trepidation as well, but lets remember that Blackalicious did a song with Ben Harper, and it owned. Given, Ben Harper is a lot better than DMB, but just the same - it could work. Cut Chemist isn't producing on this album because he's working on his solo album which I hear is dropping soon. Still, shit, this has been going on forever! I saw them last may and he wasn't with them, and their new CD was supposedly dropping imminently. Anyway, I believe it this time. I hope they don't try to go mainstream or anything, but I still think it will be great. I'm not going to freak out because Scott Storch is producing a track; the man used to be in the Roots - his shit isn't all Lean Back.

So, 'In The House' and 'Red Hot' have been on their myspace page for a while now http://www.myspace.com/jurassic5 and I loved both of them. Anyhoo, they just put up the dreaded track with DMB (Work It Out), and... I like it. It's really nice and relaxed and the production is cool, though I can see why some people wouldn't like it. Maybe a bit too poppy or slow for their tastes but, make no mistake, this is much, much better than most pop shit out there at the moment. Can't wait for the album.

heh...i know its gonna get SHIT on.....but i actually for some bizarre reason like the song with DMB.....

i mean i like j5 lots, but this has all the ingredients for me to hate it, but i dig it.

I think the new single is actually a lot better than I expected it. Its wierd though if you listen to it, there is random wood block sounds that are offtime. I msg DJ numark on myspace, and asked if those are intentional and he said yes. Weird. The song is okay when J5 raps, not a big fan of DMB, but overall I am sure the album will be good.
