Is still funny after all these years.

It didn't grow stale like Home Improvement or Full House or Saved By The Bell.

i liked the one where carlton became hooked on speed to get him through his exams and started dancing like a maniac until he collapsed.

unfortunately following said collapse, the episode took an unfortunate turn into "serious message" territory (highlighted of course, by the costumary Uncle Phil "im not mad, im dissapointed" speech and the sad, keyboard solo they always used when someone was in deep thought)

I saw the first episode last week. Will embarasses Uncle Phil at at fancy dinner they have at their house. Due to Will's influence, Ashley raps the dinner prayer. "We thank the Lord for this stupid food" And all the whiteys are like, "hunh?!"

At the end Will is talking to Uncle Phil about how he doesn't remember where he came from, then Uncle Phil is all, "I saw Malcolm X speak, son" and fuckin lays the hammer down. But then Will says something about how he doesn't know him as well as he thinks...then Uncle Phil leaves the room, Will sits down at the piano and starts playing a lovely classical tune, and Uncle Phil peers in from the other room and smiles.

The second mother wasn't that bad, and Ashley grew up hot.

I liked Jazz's wedding. We're gonna do that bounce down the aisle.(y)

Not even close. Family Matters was much worse. But I do love Carl Winslow, and I always will, that perpetual decent cop.

Family Matters was way better. Come on! But that was also a load of moral crap at times.

Haha well I'm glad they didn't. It would have made it even more annoying.

I guess it's fine as long as you see the moral speeches in the end as comedy.

What are we talking about here, FM or FH? Because I was saying FM didn't use their kids, did they also have moral speeches? Oh hell, all cheesy family sitcoms had moral speeches, it was imperitive. It's comedy with a touch of sensitivity! The Brady Bunch had them, Happy Days had them, Family Ties, The Cosby Show...

I used to hang out with this guy who's dad was really good friends with "Phillip Banks" in college. He even called one time when I was over there smoking the ice bong in the sauna. Wait...

Maybe I just imagined that he called...

Anyways he was good buddies with him. He had some really funny old photos of them hanging out. Man had a serious afro.(y)

Well both. But Family Matters was the worst in that department.

It jumped the shark when Will said he was staying in Philly, and at the start of the next season an NBC van pulls up and says his contract states he's the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Fucking hate self-awareness.
