gaaaagh so she and a friend of mine have been putting together this on-line baby shower thing for me, which is great and all and it's not like I'm not grateful, but it's on Saturday and she's starting to get all weird about it and I know how she is, she gets like a script in her head that we're all meant to be following, except nobody else gets a copy of it and gaaaaaagh how can she make me this crazy from 5000 miles away

*venting complete*

I gather that she's set up a yahoo group, and on the day of the shower there's a "chat" facility enabled so we can all be online together in a 'room'. I think there's a way to do it with cams as well maybe, but I think we are just doing voice & keyboard. Apparently I am also meant to upload photos as well. Or soemthing. This is one of the crazy-making bits...

You kind of have to develop the ability to know what the person wants even though they don't and won't say so and then pray that you're not having an off day so that you get it right. :)

I do hope it goes well--these events (showers around baby births and parties around weddings and stuff) are usually more to benefit the parents than the ma-to-be or bride-to-be. :p
