basement thread

anyone else still living in their parents basement?
well shit, i have nothing else to do...so i think im going to move out of the basement and into the backyard.

As a youngster - being only 11 or 12 yrs old I built a tree house single handedly with misc. lumber, handsaw, hammer and nails entirely on my own up a huge oak tree in my backyard. Today, I'd probably have to get a building permit first ! :(

unless some friend magically comes up with a great place to live after graduation for decent price, ill probably end up back at home in my old room...

yeah...i tried pitching the idea to my folks about converting the shed and adding a little screened in porch...no go. but they are letting me build a deck and screen in porch where i will be sleeping! i reallly cant stand the basement.

Oooh, no one would want to live in my basement. There are unidentified lifeforms down there. Big crawly skittery hairy things. Dampness. Probably killer molds. Disco-related stuff packed away from the 70s. Scary.

i have a darkroom in my basement. it would be cool if i did make it into a bedroom but a darkroom and a refrigerator is a little cooler.
