That film was just at Sundance this year. I'm supposed to write a paper on the films I saw. I didn't see as many as I should have. The end.

I guess I'll just go see it if it's not that bad. Any other films you would compare it to?

hmm, that's a hard one...it seemed very original to me. i'd say it's kind of like Snatch, but serious.

I didn't like it. I thought it was a little too "clever" and it got annoying. The dialogue was rapid-fire snappy but in a dry "I know I'm being hip" sort of way. The plot twisted and turned but in ways that made me think someone was just saying "wouldn't it be cool if...?!" The characters were flat, their motivations taken for granted - they do what they do because the script said so....okay! A little too clever. Not for my taste but if you like your toughcoolguy stylish gangster underworld of jibba jabba and head-cocking magical Tarantino-wannabe-land, then don't take my word for it. :)
