That was today. At least in the PA state.
I would've taken my kid, but we had to kick his teeth in and hang in upside down in the closet last night for behavior deemed 'less than cordial'.

Is he still there?

I assume so. He hasn't rang the 'I humbly apologize for my less than cordial behavior' bell, so I guess he hates eating.

it may pay to check that the bell isn't broken - he may have been trying to apologise for hours(lb)

they should have a 'put your child to work day'. every child in the US gets put to work in a variety of tasks for 24 hours. shoe manufacturing, pig wrangling, chimney sweeping. productivity would shoot up.
then the illegal immigrants would complain about their jobs being stolen

My French history professor brought in his daughter. And the dentist I worked for brought in his daughter.
It's silly that it's "take your CHILD to work day" because it was originally "take your DAUGHTER to work day." It was created to let girls know about jobs that were out there, to help girls get a leg up in the workforce since statistically there are less women than men who work full-time. And then the boys complained, just because they wanted a day off from school.
