Subject: Fw: MAY 1, 2006 Can't hurt - might help.
THIS IS IMPORTANT!
WASHINGTON (AFP) Immigrants' rights advocates, elated by the
resounding
success of Monday's "National Day of Action," which drew the backing
of
hundreds of thousands of protesters across the United States and
infinite
media coverage, are now planning a national boycott which they hope
will
have
an even greater resonance. Organizers are planning the May 1 "Great
American
Boycott," urging illegal immigrants -- who cannot vote and who have
only
limited political power -- to flex their economic muscle. Protesters
are
being urged to refrain from shopping, and to stay away from school
and
work.
You should take a moment to let that sink in.
This is a movement orchestrated by people who entered the US
illegally,
and
who then want to scream about their "rights." WHAT RIGHTS? YOU?RE
HERE
ILLEGALLY!
Let's take a look at some of the many benefits that illegal aliens
have
blessed our great country with: Street gangs, graffiti, drugs,
skyrocketing
healthcare, depreciation of property value, illiteracy. The list
could
go on.
What they actually have to offer (cheap labor) pales to what they
have
given
our country to deal with. I'll take expensive vegetables over
expensive
healthcare any day!
And now, like terrorists, they are going to attack our economy --
the
one
entity that makes our nation stand out from all the others: The
backbone
of
our nation. The country they came to like locusts so they could reap
the
benefits is now the focus of their boycott. You've seen it on TV:
Marching on
our American streets waving their Mexican flags, boldly showing that
they can
be more racist than who they accuse of, and yet the obvious is
totally
oblivious to them. LOOK! IF YOU'VE GOT IT SO BAD HERE, THEN LEAVE!!!
To all the real Americans, you can do one small thing on May 1,
2006. It
won't be racist, nor will it be violent. It will not be boastful,
arrogant,
selfish, or distasteful. It will not be any of those things that our
"guests"
have already displayed. What it will do is nullify a movement.
All you have to do is buy something on May 1st. Make up for what
they
will
try to take away. It doesn't have to be a new car or house (unless
you
were
already planning on getting one). It simply needs to be a day of
trading.
Hold off grocery buying until May 1st. Take your wife out to eat
that
night.
Get the kid?s pizza, hamburgers, whatever (AND NO MEXICAN FOOD!!).
Make
several trips to the convenience store. Buy your meals at work. Fill
up
your
tank. Shop for clothes, furniture, and outdoor equipment. If it
needs to
be
bought, BUY IT ON MAY 1st!
Those are just a few suggestions. We're not asking you to spend your
inheritance that day, but just to spend more than you normally
would.
Even if
it's only a few dollars, this will help soften the blow that the
Mexicans
will try to inflict on our economy that day. It sounds trivial at
first,
but
if this idea gets around, what the Mexicans set out to do will fail.
NOW COMES THE HARD PART: This email will not self-destruct if you
don't
send
it to someone. It will not cause bad luck, nor will it make you
impotent. It
will not do some trick or show a cute little animation if you send
it to
"X"
amount of people. You will not get paid for doing it. And Bill Gates
doesn?t
give a flip about it, so he won?t be sending you any spare cash. If
you
have
read it, you might be inclined to send it to someone else. It will
not
happen
though, if it just gets deleted. So forward it at will. IN FACT,
FORWARD
THIS
TO EVERYONE ONE YOU KNOW! YOU WILL BE DOING YOUR COUNTRY (AND YOUR
FELLOW
CITIZENS) A BIG FAVOR!
</stupid forward>
GET OFF THE REPUBLICAN BANDWAGON. They aren't doing you any harm. Hey remember the patio extension that was done a few years ago? I'm pretty sure those guys weren't "legal".
The stupidest thing is the "don't eat mexican food" idea, when in reality everything in a restaurant you go to is made by mexicans. Most are legal, but a good portion probably aren't. And i don't think that you would be happy with the increase price in foods and services if illegals werent doing the jobs you dont want to do. If they were offered the wage that YOU would do the job for... let's just say that celery would be a luxery item you buy at Tiffanys.

Money (connected to family, one self, etc.). Plus the majority of people are too lazy or too scared to stand up and be seen and heard. We rather argue over stupid shit then tackle the real issues at hand. Such as our government as a whole (both sides) being deaf to what we say.

So they have power because they can throw bits of paper at people? What does zeroes on a PC, or small oblong slices of paper actually do for them?
Plus the majority of people are too lazy or too scared to stand up and be seen and heard.
So it isn't that the majority do not have power, but that they do not (want to?) use the power that they have?
Then I have little sympathy for people with the tools in their hands, but an unwillingness to use them.

This is all from what I have seen in my life and the people (mainly my age but also older) have acted when presented with situtions like this. And in this society yes, they do have power because they throw that paper since our world gives that paper the power. But there are also plenty of people with money who do not do anything to benifit society even though they have the power as well. All you have to do is look at the collection of black rappers who say we must "uplift our community" but continue to promote the negatives that destroy it and do nothing to change it (like an X or MLK).

The world doesn't, we do. The paper has no meaning, power or influence except for a value which we *choose* to give to it. It takes no effort to deny that power, all you have to do is refuse to accept it.
I guess my point is that these people have no power accept what *we* choose to give them. It takes no effort at all to simply *not give them that power* - it only takes a conscious choice. It only takes people to wake up.
Of course, it is the waking up that takes effort, because some people spend their entire lives making sure that no-one disrupts their sleep-walk to a pauper's grave.
And, in retrospect, I sound a lot like Faithless's track "Mass Destruction."

Why bother voting...it's a waste of time and empty promises!! we should do our own thing and seperate ourseleves like private owned sectors do... but the rich and government are always seen together... i know we need a government base, but why bother if it does nothing for the people... we are their bosses... the government works for us!! we give you a little, give us a little... make that a lot!!

The world has no meaning. We, as a people, give this world meaning. Thus the reason I refered to "the world" in my statement. Fear is also a powerful ally in the war of lies. Many people fear change let alone trying to do something. People aren't even wise enough to know that attacking those who have never done them wrong or their culture wrong is flawed. You see it even on here. I have made the concious choice and I hope that one day I am given the chance to be heard by the masses. Maybe then people will regret what they have done or not done.

How do you not accept this power(not meant to be rude)?
It is both easy and complicated at the same time. Easy on a personal level, in that you simply do not let people dictate to you. Hard in that it involves formulating an equitable level of personal responsibility and integrity, and adhering to a personal moral code.
Perhaps it is best to give an example - how does the president making a law or declaring a war achieve anything? It is not in the action - I can write exactly the same words on exactly the same paper with exactly the same pen in exactly the same place, and it will mean nothing. I can declare war, right here and now, and nothing happens. I can tell you to murder someone, and you won't. So why would someone listen to the president? Because they "have" to? What makes them? People force them to? People do this why? Because "they have to" ? Because people make THEM? And who makes them?
When it comes to the crunch, the whole system works because people do what they are told. All it takes is for one person to say "no, I won't do that." and everyone under them is free. If the police choose not to enforce a law, that law has no power.
If a million people in the street marched on the president to frag his ass out, and kick him out of office - what would happen? The army would kill a million US citizens, their friends, their family, in the street for their money?
There is no "power" - it's just a trick that makes people feel like they have no choice but to aquiesse.
All it takes is for the army to say "no, we're not going to Iraq" to avert the war. No rhetoric, no protests, no singing and dancing, just people saying "no."
Even if it is just one soldier, and everyone is against him, it only takes the MPs to say "we're not taking him away" or the judge to say "I'm not locking him up" or the guards to say "we're not going to hold him."
All it takes is for people, as individuals, to make a single ethical choice, and take responsibility for their actions.

i wish it was like that ace42x. in theory that is what can happen, and maybe some day soon it will began to cascade like that. however, those decisions are hard to make for the individual, because there is great personal risk associated with the decision.
As for judges, and people who already have "power", they are a part of the game. there are very few who actually have empowered themselves and would consider speaking out against that which is most dangerous.
dont take me wrong, i think you made a great point. i have faith someday it will happen here in america, but i think we are so deep in this shit we have created to work out something honest. so long as there is a central power we will never be free. freedom in the coming age equates to independence and efficiency- anarchy and sustainability- small scale, independent sustainable communities.

But *is* there? A greater risk than dying young because of being poisoned by a nearby factory? A greater risk than your children being shot in gang violence caused by impoverishment, the product of an unjust society? A greater risk than dying of heart problems because of eating Maccy Ds?
That is how the slaves were kept - create the illusion that the only alternative to servitude (with regular whipping regardless) is death or chaos.
As for judges, and people who already have "power", they are a part of the game. there are very few who actually have empowered themselves and would consider speaking out against that which is most dangerous.
It is true that the higher up the pyramid you go, the less likely people are to operate independantly of the power structure. Of course, the further up the pyramid you go, the further you get from the actual power itself too. When it comes to the enforcement arm, cops on the street, they are not much different to ourselves at all. They are our brothes, dads, uncles. Would *they* screw you over for the sake of the hierachy? The closer you get to the bottom of the pyramid, the people, the majority, the less they are invested in the system. The power has no investment in the system, just as a slave has no investment in the plantation. All it takes is for people to realise that we are all slaves, and say no more, and then see the slaver try to punish us all. But, it has to start with one person.
so long as there is a central power we will never be free.
It's a typical case of divide and conquer. "You're the illegal immigrants, you're the poor white trailer trash, you're the cops on the street, and you all have to earn a pittance, or else one lot of you will beat up another lot of you. So just get on working like good slaves, and everything will be good, and there will be more stale gruel for everyone!"

Even without whippings the illusion of death or chaos was there, thus like I pointed out before fear owns them. Also the fact that we tend to tear one another down on the slightest of flaws is a direct result of not seeing that which is most important.

Dick Cheney had an 18% approval rating after shooting that guy in the face. And I'm pretty sure that percent was from Charlton Heston's gang of freaks.
I wonder if his has gone back up? I doubt it. He reminds me of that evil emperor guy from Star Wars. And I know that there's a shitload of people out there who don't like that guy either.

I'm sorry but I have to go back to the concept that someone in your inner family circle is from this train of thought and how it feels. Granted, it's a 'step' mom, but still... my mom, brother, sister.... they are all republican types, anti-abortion, pro-bush, suv driving... ugh, it pains me to type it. :(
The thing is, I love them sooooo much. I just can't bring myself to any political convo with them cuz my care for them as people far outweighs my care for their political beliefs. I don't even know what I'm really trying to get at here, just venting I guess...
As far as the immigrant issue goes, well, I work in the construction industry in Southern California, without Mexicans, let's just say none of the buildings I design would be built. Cash workers are all too common. Legal workers mean paying all sorts of insurances and what not. Simply non-affordable. There needs to be a serious re-think of the whole system. Wow.
...and don't you think it's all too convenient that Bush wants to talk about this immigrant issue on television now that this phone spying issue came out? Can you say diversion?

Moving to Mexico
Interesting thought; I wonder what would happen, if a number of
Americans, say 11 million were to go to Mexico illegally?
MR. PRESIDENT, I'M HEADED TO MEXICO
April 1, 2006
NewsWithViews.com
Dear President Bush:
I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family,
and I would like to ask you to assist me.
I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S.into Mexico, and I
need to make a few arrangements.
I know you can help with this.
I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration
quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do
here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox,
that I'm on my way over?
Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might
need, whether I use them or not.
3. All government forms need to be printed in English.
4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.
5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the
flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.
7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy
access to government services.
9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any
effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo
from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police
officers speak English.
11. I plan to fly the U.S.flag from my house top, put flag decals on
my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any
complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and
don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.
13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and
never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place
on the economy.
I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things
for all the people who come to the U.S.from Mexico.
I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him
nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go
quail hunting with your V.P.
Thank you so much for your kind help.
Sincerely,

i dont understand whats wrong with securing our borders, and trying to promote legal immigration...
QueenAdrock
05-14-2006, 01:26 PM
I don't even think this argument is about "security" because if it was, maybe they'd be more worried about things such as port security. A large majority of our consumables come from overseas, and we haven't done shit to bulk up homeland security to take care of sealing our ports. There's terrorist cells INSIDE the US, and we don't give two shits about them because we're busy with illegal immigration.
The only reason why I'm against illegal immigration is because there would be undocumented people living in the US, which poses a hazardous threat. However, it doesn't seem like that's anyone else's reasoning. It just seems to me that a lot of people are anti-illegal immigration because of a raging case of xenophobia.
Strain on our economy, my ass. You know what's a strain on our economy? The fuckin' war in Iraq. Maybe we should deal with that first. I just hate when they take issues that have been around for YEARS and make it into a big deal as a diversion from what really is plaguing our society. Overhaul homeland security, stop the breeding grounds of terrorism known as the Iraqi war, strengthen our borders where it matters most, and stop using the goddamn red herring argument of illegal immigration because there are bigger and more pressing threats to our nation that we're ignoring.

word up queenadrock.
let us just say that governments are not set up for the good of the people. that in fact, they are set up to consolidate power into the hands of a few, to centralize economy and cash in on its citizens. governments arent providing us anything. they keep us afraid and play off our fear. they exploit our people, and our resources, control our land and try to keep us "productive". they do not provide healthcare or education. they do not provide food, water (in fact the poison our water here in the us with flouride and other chemicals) (and they poison our foods with regulation, GMO, pesticides, subsidies, the FDA etc...). governments only hold people back from being truly free. im not talking all out chaos or anarchy, but sustainable, small scale communal governments...where people can play a part, where each vote counts, where each person has a voice. when the system falls, thats where we will be, thats where we will have to organize. by then, hopefully, there will be no distractions, and unfortunately, we will be focused on survival and change.

hah. i love that argument. "you'll become conservative when you're older and have a family to support." bullshit. my grandparents have lived through the depression, through more than three quarters of a century of the economy and political bullshit, and they're still true and blue lefties and i love them for it. my mom's raised three kids, by herself for the last 6 years, makes a really decent living, and is a diehard sierra club eco-loving tree-hugging forest-fingerbanging green hippie fruitcake and she's one of the most intelligent people i know. she doesn't have to worry about money or retirement. she lives comfortably.
as far as them being a drain on our economy? please. do you realize how little money these people make? what they send back to their families...it's NOTHING. the profit they generate for their labor is basically what props up our entire lifestyle. unless americans want to start paying more than 30 cents for a head of lettuce or $3 for their fucking sweatpants at wal-mart, we have to depend on dirt-cheap labor from either migrant workers or overseas sweatshops and factories. if we gave those jobs to americans...psh. no one would be able to afford even produce.
the issue here isn't really about money. it's about us vs. them.

jesus christ, you drank the fuckin Kool-aid.
let's just go after a few of these supposed "facts" about illegal immigrants.
where do you get this "the people that support it on thier fuckin backs" idea?
the illegal mexican immigrants are the backbone of this economy?
any facts, figures, statistics....shit, even an unbiased article showing that?
hell, i'll even take a biased one.
you paint this picture of lowly, starving mexicans crawling here on thier knees...taking whatever lowly job they can get...working till they bleed, just for a small pitance....doing all these jobs that no one else will do...while we just shit on them and exploit them?
HA!
many of these immigrants HAVE jobs in mexico...they just want BETTER ONES. they come here illegally, undocumented...many quickly resort to criminal activity...not just construction and vegetable picking.
and they do jobs that no one else will do?
so fruit picking and construction didn't exist before illegal mexican immigrants?
did mexican immigrants invent them?
let's just get this very clear.
mexican immigrants came here, and took existing jobs at substantially lower wage- AN ILLEGALLY LOWER WAGE...BECAUSE THEY ARE FUCKIN UNDOCUMENTED ILLEGAL ALIENS, and drove the industry standard wage down to the fuckin floor....because that was still more than they were earning in mexico.
so they artificially and illegally drove down the wage to a level that other americans would not work for (or COULD NOT), because our standard of living is higher.
but the immigrants don't give a shit. they just shack up by the truckload into tiny apartments and send thier wages back to thier families...OUT OF OUR ECONOMY.
and they don't pay taxes, dear.
but we have lower prices...right?
hmm..that's nice.
what about the health care and schooling we provide to thier children. what about any costs arrising from their lack of insurance?
does it all balance out?
so you want to reward a mass of people who illegally came into this country...and artificially and ILLEGALLY drove down the economic wage on certain industries so that ONLY THEY could work them (american families cannot live on 2.25/hr unless they want to live in squalor and welfare).
yes, let's reward criminals.
all this pompous emotional clap-trap is as empty and the immigrants claim to necessity in this country.

Dear Senator Frist:
There is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about illegal aliens, particularly illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Honduran aliens.
1. Illegal aliens generally do NOT want U.S. citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a U.S. citizen. Mexicans, and other nationalities want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What illegal aliens want are benefits of American residence without paying the price.
2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. Illegal aliens are doing jobs that Americans can't take and still support their families. Illegal aliens take low wage jobs, live dozens in a single residence home, share expenses and send money to their home country. There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a decent wage.
3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. They are NOT homeless and they are NOT Americans. Some left jobs in their home countries. They come to send money to their real home as evidenced by the more than 20 billion dollars sent out of the country each year by illegal aliens. These illegal aliens knowingly and willfully entered this nation in violation of the law and therefore assumed the risk of detection and deportation. Those who brought their alien children assumed the responsibility and risk on behalf of their children.
4. Illegal aliens are NOT critical to the economy. Illegal aliens constitute less than 5% of the workforce. However, they reduce wages and benefits for lawful U.S. residents.
5. This is NOT an immigrant nation. There are 280 million native born Americans. While it is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (legal immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another.
6. The United States is welcoming to legal immigrants. Illegal aliens are not immigrants by definition. The U.S. accepts more lawful immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.
7. There is no such thing as the "Hispanic vote". Hispanics are white, brown, black and every shade in between. Hispanics are Repu blicans, Democrats, Anarchists, Communists, Marxists and Independents. The so-called "Hispanic vote" is a myth. Pandering to illegal aliens to get the Hispanic vote is a dead end.
8. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans have resented the United States. During World War I Mexico allowed German Spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the U.S. During World War II Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the U.S. from Mexico. During the Cold War Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U.S. to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and applauded all across Mexico. Today Mexican school children are taught that the U.S. stole California, Arizona, new Mexico and Texas. If you don't believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their schoolchildren.
9. Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. At least 1 billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America, then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life. I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?
10. There is a labor shortage in this country. This is a lie. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American housewives, senior citizens, students, unemployed and underemployed who would gladly take jobs at a decent wage.
11. It is racist to want secure borders. What is racist about wanting secure borders and a secure America? What is racist about not wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our laws, steal identities, and take the American Dream without paying the price?
For about four decades American politicians have refused to secure our borders and look after the welfare of middle class Americans. These politicians have been of both parties. A huge debt to American society has resulted. This debt will be satisfied and the interest will be high. There has already been riots in the streets by illegal aliens and their supporters. There will be more. You, as a politician, have a choice to offend the illegal aliens who have stolen into this country and demanded the rights afforded to U.S. citizens or to offend those of us who are stakeholders in this country. The interest will be steep either way. There will be civil unrest. There will be a reckoning. Do you have the courage to do what is right for America? Or, will you bow to the wants and needs of those who don't even have the right to remain here?
There will be a reckoning. It will come in November of this year, again in 2008 and yet again in 2010.
We will not allow America to be stolen by third world agitators and thieves.

The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
In April 2005, Heather Mac Donald, a Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, testified before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims. On the issue of gang membership among illegal immigrants, she said:
No one knows for certain the percentage of illegals in gangs, thanks in large part to sanctuary laws themselves. But various estimates exist:
A confidential California Department of Justice study reported in 1995 that 60 percent of the 20,000-strong 18th Street Gang in southern California is illegal; police officers say the proportion is actually much greater. The bloody gang collaborates with the Mexican Mafia, the dominant force in California prisons, on complex drug-distribution schemes, extortion, and drive-by assassinations. It commits an assault or robbery every day in L.A. County. The gang has grown dramatically over the last two decades by recruiting recently arrived youngsters, most of them illegal, from Central America and Mexico.
Note, however, that this statement references a California Department of Justice study (not an FBI report), and that it describes only a single gang in Los Angeles County (the 18th Street Gang), the gang that likely has the highest membership rate of illegal aliens.
-----------------
95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
This figure also appears (unsourced) in Heather Mac Donald's testimony before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims:
In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide in the first half of 2004 (which totaled 1,200 to 1,500) targeted illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) were for illegal aliens.
Even if the statistic is accurate, however, it is subject to a variety of interpretations. For example, illegal aliens might be disproportionately represented by outstanding homicide warrants in Los Angeles because they are more likely to flee the jurisdiction before their cases are adjudicated than legal residents are (not necessarily because they commit a far greater share of the homicides in Los Angeles). This interpretation is supported by a University of California Davis summary of immigration issues that notes:
The Los Angeles Police Department has a 12-year old Foreign Prosecution Unit that pursues suspects who fled the US after committing crimes in Los Angeles and gives testimony when they are prosecuted aboard. The United States does not have extradition treaties with most Latin American countries but many countries, for example, Mexico, Nicaragua or El Salvador try suspects for murder and other violent crimes committed in the US.
The Foreign Prosecution Unit was founded in 1985, after a study found that nearly half of the LAPD's outstanding arrest warrants involved Mexican nationals who were presumed to have fled the country. The FPU works with Interpol to find suspects who flee abroad and then prepares the evidence so that the person can be arrested and prosecuted. The FPU clears about one-third of its cases, compared to two-thirds of all homicide cases in Los Angeles.
The Mexican consulate in Los Angeles has a representative of the Mexican attorney general's office to work with the FPU in prosecuting suspects in Mexico for crimes committed in Los Angeles.
-----------
Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops but 29% are on welfare.
Although illegal aliens are not generally eligible to collect public welfare benefits, an illegal alien may receive benefits under the Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) and Food Stamps programs on behalf of his or her U.S. citizen child. (Any child born in the United States is considered a U.S. citizen, regardless of the parents' immigration status.) A 1997 General Accounting Office (GAO) report determined that in 1995 households headed by illegal aliens received a total of $700 million in AFDC benefits and $430 million in Food Stamps.
-----------
Over 70% of the United States annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York) results from immigration.
As the Sacramento Bee recently reported, the "over 90%" figure for population growth in California is essentially accurate if the term "immigration" is defined to encompass both foreign immigrants and births to immigrant mothers:
When Department of Finance numbers are merged with Census Bureau numbers and birth and death data collected by the state Department of Health Services are added to the mix, showing that half of all births are to immigrant mothers, the inescapable conclusion is that foreign immigration and births to immigrant mothers together comprise all of the state's net population growth. Or, to put it another way, without foreign immigration, California would have virtually zero population growth.

-The is an excerpt from a statement by Augustin Cebada of the Brown Berets de Aztlán, a paramilitary offshoot of the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (MEChA), delivered during a Fourth of July rally held outside the Federal Building in Westwood, California, in 1996:
"We're here today to show L.A., show the minority people here, the Anglo-Saxons, that we are here, the majority, we're here to stay. We do the work in this city, we take care of the spoiled brat children, we clean their offices, we pick the food, we do the manufacturing in the factories of L.A., we are the majority here, and we are not going to be pushed around.
We're here in Westwood, this is the fourth time we've been here in the last two months, to show white Anglo-Saxon Protestant L.A., the few of you who remain, that we are the majority, and we claim this land as ours, it's always been ours, and we're still here, and uh, none of this talk about deporting. If anybody's going to be deported it's going to be you."
[SHOUTING] "Go back to Simi Valley, you skunks! Go back to Woodland Hills! Go back to Boston! Go back to the Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims! Get out! We are the future. You're old and tired. Go on. We have beaten you; leave like beaten rats.
You old white people, it is your duty to die. Even their own ethicists say that they should die; that they have a duty to die. They're taking up too much space, too much air.
We are the majority in L.A. There's over seven million Mexicans in L.A. County alone. We are the majority. And you're going to see every day more and more of it, as we ... we manifest as our young people grow up, graduate from high school, go on to college and start taking over this society. Our people ... are ... the vast majority of our people are under the age of 15 years old. Right now we're already controlling those elections, whether it's through violence or nonviolence. Through love of having children we are gonna take over."
---------
"They're afraid we're going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They're right. We will take them over ... We are here to stay."
-This is an excerpt from a statement made by Richard Alatorre (then a member of the Los Angeles City Council) at a Latino summit conference in Los Angeles in September 1996, about the upcoming Proposition 209 ballot measure, which sought to prohibit governmental agencies in California from
"discriminating against or giving preferential treatment to any individual or group in public employment ... on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin" (also known as the "end of affirmative action" proposition):
Because our numbers are growing, they're afraid about this great mass of minorities that now live in our community. They're afraid that we're going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They are right, we will take them over, and we are not going to go away — we are here to stay, and we are saying 'ya basta' (enough!) and we are going to turn ... and uh, de ... not elect or re-elect people that believe that they are going to advance their political careers on the backs of immigrants and the backs of minorities."

"Remember 187 (proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens) was the last gasp of white America in California."
-This is a sentence taken from a statement given by Art Torres, a fomer California State Assembly member and State Senator, at the UC Riverside conference referenced above:
"It is an honor to be with the new leadership of the Americas, here meeting at UC Riverside. So with 187 on the ballot, what is it going to take for our people to vote, to see us walking into the gas ovens? It is electoral power that is going to make the determination of where we go as a community. And power is not given to you; you have to take it. Remember: 187 is the last gasp of white America in California. Understand that. And people say to me on the Senate floor when I was in the Senate, 'Why do you fight so hard for affirmative action programs?' And I tell my white colleagues, 'because you're going to need them' [laughter].
(NOTE: A month after making this statement, Art Torres was appointed Chairman of the California Democratic Party, a position he holds as of 2006.)

"California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn't like it should leave."
Mario Obledo was a co-founder of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) and the La Raza Lawyers of California bar association, and he formerly served as California's Secretary of Health and Welfare. We don't know exactly when and where he first made his controversial statement about California's becoming a "Hispanic state," but he has confirmed he said it at least twice: during an appearance on Ray Briem's talk radio show in May or June of 1998, and again on Tom Leykis' talk radio show:
Obledo: "We're going to take over all the political institutions of California. In five years the Hispanics are going to be the majority population of this state."
Caller: "You also made the statement that California is going to become a Hispanic state, and if anyone doesn't like it, they should leave. Did you say that?"
Obledo: "I did. They ought to go back to Europe."

A friend of mine is turning more conservative in his old age. He mentioned that he is torn on this issue. His gardener, housekeeper, and nanny are all in the US illegally, though each has been here for many years. He doesn't want to pay more for these services.
And the health care issue is a non-issue, really. There are more Medically Indigent American citizens without than immigrants. Health care is a problem, regardless.
But, if there isn't a labor issue in the US, why are companies outsourcing and hiring illegals?

the Illegal don't have to pay taxes, health care, etc....therefore, they are able to sustain themselve on such low wages, even if it's poverty.
an american worker could not...not after taxes, healthcare, etc....
the illegals have a strangle-hold on certain sectors..NOT because they do the work no amercian wants to (a bullshit myth), but because they illegally and unethically made the playing field unequal....and forced the wages into an area where only THEY (without taxes, healthcare, insurance, etc) can afford to take them.

untrue.
what is the point of minimum wage? it is supposed to be the least one can make at a job, but still produce enough income to survive in the community after taxes, healthcare and insurance costs, etc....
most would agree it is ALREADY too low...
but what if you didn't have to pay taxes? or health care? or insurance? shit man...that would nearly double my paycheck.
minimum wage would be a semi-decent living.
now if you were paid LESS than minimum wage...but didn't have to pay taxes, health care, insurance....than, you wouldn't be living the high life...but would be able to have a livable income. but most imporantly...you would have legitamate advantage over others who may be competing for that job....because, unlike you, they have to pay taxes and health care and insurance....they simply can't live on that wage. but you can. and so can your buddies that you board with. and you can send a chunk of it to your family out of country.

Firstly, the poorest segements of society on minimum wage don't pay taxes anyway, secondly, illegal immigrants don't get any "benefits" from the other things, including healthare or insurance, and thus don't cost.

Firstly, the poorest segements of society on minimum wage don't pay taxes anyway, lies.
they have to apply for tax credit, and many don't.
and those that do---
"The EITC is available only to low-income tax filing units (individuals or families) with earnings. While the EITC is primarily for parents, there is a small credit for low-income workers who are not parents. For all EITC recipients, the size of the credit initially rises with earnings, reaches a plateau, and then diminishes with each additional dollar earned. The maximum credit for a working family with two children was $3,756 in tax year 1998. Families with two children and incomes between $9,390 and $12,260 could claim this maximum credit and families with two children and incomes up to $30,095 were eligible for some EITC benefit."
look at those numbers. only those under $12,260 pay no taxes. that's 3,000 BELOW the poverty line. the rest can get assistance at best...but taxes must be paid.
illegal pay nothing.
secondly, illegal immigrants don't get any "benefits" from the other things, including healthare or insurance, and thus don't cost. thier children get free schooling and healthcare...on our dime.
emergancy visits are paid for on OUR dime.
"Although illegal aliens are not generally eligible to collect public welfare benefits, an illegal alien may receive benefits under the Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) and Food Stamps programs on behalf of his or her U.S. citizen child. They do not. The tax credit "pays the taxes" which is awarded to families from the government, which gets its money from *taxing the hard working people of America*. Those white trailor trash leeches!
And clearly, in the context of this discussion, I was only referring to the taxes which illegals DO NOT PAY EITHER. The fact that the poor, like immigrants, pay sales tax, VAT, etc / whatever is neither here nor there.

No, but that doesn't stop you from stretching, eh? See, you're getting desperate.

And neither do the parents of the very poor. The government pays for that via "tax credits." And, of course, you ignore the many citizens who aren't forthcoming with their taxes, as if only illegals don't pay it, and the fact that they very poor on minimum wage are often paid cash-in-hand ANYWAY, leaving the door wide open for them to avoid paying taxes.

No, that's called a bullshit talking point. The alternative would be for legal US citizens to *not attend school* and grow up *as legal US citizens* without any sort of education. By your argument, all children with parents who are guilty of tax-fraud should be suspended from education until the equivalent cash is replaced. Clearly bullshit.
Actually, when those children grow up and get a job like other *legal US citizens* - they will be paying taxes into the schooling system, and a lot more taxes too if they are in an educated job, rather than work which is more likely to be paid cash-in-hand.

i am alluding to the fact that many poor family do not apply for tax credit:

Yeah, create more work for me while you recycle lame talking points to distract from the fact that you have nothing. Taking a census has nothing about it, as the number of newly born US citizens with illegal parents is no harder to predict than how many of those "oh so many people who don't claim EIDC" will take it up in that time, or how many more people will be economically forced to take it up *between* census years.
THAT'S the american dream!?
Different to white trailer park cabbage heads shitting out kids for precisely the same reason?
if that's how you feel, and have faith in that system
I don't, but that is how the system is setup for all your other countrymen. To descriminate against *perfectly legitimate and entitled* countrymen on the grounds that their PARENTS are 'spics is ethically wrong. It might be more pragmatic, but then, ethically wrong and unjust courses of action often are.
oh..pulling the race card out of nowhere?
"Out of nowhere" ? Sorry, are we not talking about Mexicans? Are these children not legally afforded all the same rights and privlidges of other Americans? Are you not bitching about them, AND ONLY THEM receiving the same treatment other Americans enjoy?
That's racial descrimination, irrespective of your justifications. If you don't like the cap, don't wear it.
And I said "that [supposition] was racist" not "you are a racist", not ad hominem I think you'll find.
And look, my posts are getting longer and longer, despite me being less and less interested in refuting your crap. And you wonder why I keep trying to get out? It's not because I am "desperate" - but because you are providing particularly uninteresting and stale arguments and sources. If you wonder why I am still persisting, it is just to make sure the facts are on the table. I have long since given up trying to persuade you of *anything* using reasoning and logic. As has most of the board I gather.

ha! the numbers are growing epidemically:
"Over 70% of the United States annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York) results from immigration.
Or, to put it another way, without foreign immigration, California would have virtually zero population growth."
now is ALL of the from Illegal immigrants? doubtful.
point being...illegals contribute a HUGE amount of population growth...and because thier parents are undocumented...funds for schooling and tax allotments are thrown off.
Different to white trailer park cabbage heads shitting out kids for precisely the same reason? those are american idiots causing us american problems.
why should we be forced to take on mexico's problems of the same nature?
so your logic is "if we have american trailer trash getting welfare for kids...why not allow illegal immigrants the same?"

we already have nationalized IDIOT citizens doing the same. we don't need anymore.

So are the children of illegal immigrants, who are just as American as you are, regardless of their skin colour.

It isn't Mexico's problem - those children were born in the US, they are US citizens under your law, just as much as you are.
so your logic is "if we have american trailer trash getting welfare for kids...why not allow illegal immigrants the same?"
brilliant ace.
Red-herring. You are not "allowing illegal immigrants" anything. It is the CHILDREN that receive the benefits, and the children are US citizens, as much as anyone else, even if you dislike their skin colour.
i discriminate based on the fact that thier parents came here to abuse the system.
Whereas children whose parents gave birth to them in order to abuse the system (by receiving welfare) are alright, just as long as they are white, right?
Ignoring the race issue, which I am repeating just because it amuses me to see you caught in the coincidental racism you have argued yourself into, the fact of the matter is the parents are irrelevent. The sins of the parents are not visited on the children - it is a core tenet of law found in every civilised society. To hold the legal US citizen children responsible is like hanging a child because his dad is a mass murderer.

It's no more unjust than any welfare system. The whole point of them is that they benefit those in need, not those who have worked long enough to have earned it. According to you, someone who is heavily disabled and needs fulltime care their whole life is "leeching" - on the grounds that there is no way they or their parents could ever cover the cost of keeping them and their medical expenses. Are you going to advocate kicking their gold-bricking asses to the curb? And yet, the Mexicans ARE doing jobs, and their kids ARE becoming as educated and as valid a member of society as any other legal American.

What you are saying is racist, as all the criticisms you have listed can equally be pointed to people you do not have a problem with, as I have shown. The only difference that remains is "where their parents came from." IE race.
Am I calling you a racist? No. But what you are saying is racist, whether you are comfortable admitting it or no.

American citizens getting American schooling is "the exploitation of a well-intentioned amnesty clause."
Hardly.
And, legally, they are American citizens every much as you are. So why do you not think they are "American" enough for you? Because you dislike their parentage, yes?
the parents use that aid, and you know it.
welfare children are money machines for the parents.
As they are for white people in a trailer park. But that's ok because they are "American" in your book, because the parents come from a demographic you approve of.
yet another shameless attempt to cloud the debate and label me a racist to garner emotional support.
Hardly, I was teasing you. But often a true word is spoken in jest. The fact that you are continuing in this vein is evidence enough.

You're the one who wants to deny the little brown babies an education because you dislike how their parents live their lives, even though you have no problem affording the same rights to trailer trash. Yeah, your xenophobic and racist arguments are *my fault*. Whatever.
the problem is that this system is being brutally abused and exploited at our expense.
How? Schools are free to all already, brown-skinned or otherwise. These children are as American as the next man, and entitled to all the things that other Americans are. Now if you want to change the law to keep all those horrible horrible spics and their bastard children out of the father land, then feel free to tell us how these little babies aren't good enough to be an American, until then, you don't have a leg to stand on.
and those that put back INTO it through taxation at some point.
give a penny, take a penny.
Heh, self-contradition ahoy. These newly born American children, receiving a free US education, will be putting it back into the system. Of course, they're beaners, so they don't count, dirty 'spics. Right? Oh, that's right, it's because of their PARENTS. The PARENTS aren't American enough. Just like how the Jews that had been born in Germany weren't German enough.
HA...comparing a chosen indescretion (illegal immigration and the birth of children in another nation to acheive amnesty and a welfare river vs. a random genetic defect. try again.
I don't need to, it makes the point. Your argument was purely fiscal. You said that they didn't deserve the benefits because they didn't pay into it. Neither do those who are genetically defective either. By YOUR argument, they do not deserve aid because they are "leeching." It's your double-standard, "prejudice" if you will, not mine. Also, it is not a "chosen" indiscretion. The children, who are American citizens, do not "choose" to require free education and more than the handicapped choose to require care.
Why don't YOU try again, as you still have yet to come up with something other than bullshit, despite me asking you to RIGHT AT THE START.

Face it, you got served. You can keep typing all day, doesn't change the fact that you appear foolish in the eyes of others, and they view you with more scorn and derision than they did previously. Not, in itself, an easy task.

like i said...just look at them line up to deep throat you.
you delusional mamma's boy.
sometimes i have to stop and give pause to the fact that i'm arguing with a spoiled rich bitch who (at 23) still lives off mum and dad's coin, while waxing philosophical on life views and social topics of which he barely has a shred of experiance short of Wilkepedia and IRC gamer chats.
i think your mum's calling you for dinner.

Sometimes I have to stop and give pause to the fact that you often have no idea who and what you are talking about. Not for very long, obviously, otherwise I'd never have time to reply to your 2-bit psychoanalysis and posturing.

ha, silly Ace.
you're little 4 inch virgin stick would go limp as a noodle the first time you saw a vigina that wasn't blown up to 1024 x 768 resolution.
Ace, you haven't scored a point all day, and now you're treading into an area where you are seriously out-armed.
but if you wanna keep it flying....i'm game.

Is that what she told you? She must be trying to protect your feelings. It's kinda sweet how she pities you.
Ace, you haven't scored a point all day,
What would you know about it? I've out-retorted you every step of the way. You seem to think you have done something other than come across as a complete loser here. Clearly, your opinions on the matter aren't worth the bandwidth they are transmitted across.

man you always drag everything down the lowest denominator.
the immigration debate just turned into you flagrantly trying to demonize me rather than address any of the documented reports or data i posted....
and now our fun little flame war is hitting the dust with your regressing "i fucked your girlfriend" comments.
do you have anything else other than "i fucked your girlfriend?"
have you no wit to speak off?
here, i'll go again....
the 2 people on this board who have had contact with you (in person or on private chat) gave me enough personal info to run for days...
where should i start?
you inability to look people in the eyes...
i dunno...
wait, that's mean....unfair advantage on my part.
okay.
you're peter pan complex. how about that?
23 and still live with your parents.
no career? no girlfriend.
lot's of videogames and flamefests on message boards?
by this rate, you'll touch a non-family members boob by...oh....32?

It is ironic, because all I am doing is mirroring precisely the sort of crap you are coming out with. It's funny how me replying to your clichés with substantially *better* clichés is somehow perceived as "inferior" by you.
And by funny, I mean sad, because it just goes to show how incredibly self-satisfied you are, when really you have very little to be self-satisfied about, given your pisspoor performance in this thread.

is this how you talk to you parents when THEY bring this up?
you children. no respect these days.
seriously. do your parents have any qualms about about being your age and being unemployed, living with them, a virgin, and obsesed with videogames?
i mean, you're a walking punchline.
thousands of stane-up jokes have been fashioned around your lifestyle.
you're a human caricature.
how long can you bury your face in videogames and masturbation before the Paxil stops working?

Really? To me it just looked like he picked up on a random thing I said in this thread, and tried in vain to poke fun at it out of sheer desperation. But you know what they say, simple things please simple minds.
