Well, on some occasions I'll go into a c.d. store in search of some new music without prior knowledge of the band.

Rarely have I felt sore about it, I'd say at least 70% of the time I'd put a c.d. of a band I've never heard before and end up very content in my purchase.

I actually bought this c.d. because the artwork was well done and the price was cheap. I figured what the hell.

They've surely got a 70's rock sound. Sometimes I can hear Black Sabbath, some Zeppelin, Hendrix and there's a few Tom Morello esque jams in the midst of some of the songs.

Sure, they're not the only band that has ventured in the direction of making their music sound like that but just the way they jam out, they're putting some serious effort in it.

and b i o n i c, no problem with what you think of it but, can you be a bit more descriptive as to why they sucked?

Maybe it's the kind of band that makes a good studio album but can't play worth a shit live.

i was wondering when other ppl around the world would latch on to wolfmother. triple j (a youth radio station in australia) are pretty much responsible for their fame, not even 12 months ago they were playing their shitty 4 track demo. then the album came out and triple j played it non stop, it won the annual J award, and sales went up and up, so then a major label came on board and distributed it everyfucking where, and suddenly they're huge!!! i saw em play about 15 months ago, and i reckon there were about 20 ppl at their gig. its amazing how a band can go from nothing to a massive something in such a short amount of time.

I think they're generic, and grow tired very quickly, but they are solid live. However, they were better at Meredith 2004 than Meredith 2005, and both of those were better than their performance at big day out. It seemed the bigger their fame got, the more full of themselves they got on stage, and the quality of the music really suffered.

maybe that's what I needed was some input from some Aussies. As said, I just picked the c.d. up because the artwork caught my eye.

Still, as of now, I'm content with the music and if they'll happen to put another c.d. out then I'll probably buy that one too. After that, I could start my own personal judgement.

ok, so I guess this is where the musical taste difference comes in. I've listened to 3 songs from Wold & Club and really want to say that's generic suckage.

I tried to get into it but all I can hear is a wanna be Dead Milkmen music fronted by a Jello Biafra wanna be singer.

The musicians in Wolfmother are alot more inclined than those guys too.

they remind me alot of jet, who were the shittest generic rip-off band of 2 years ago. there are no words to describe how much i hate jet. that line in the song 'rollover dj' where he says 'cos uve been playing other ppls songs all night' im like HELLO!!!!!, all they do is rip off other bands ie the beatles, with no originality whatsoever. so basically wolfmother are this year's jet. and where the fuck are jet now? in the fucking bin, where they belong.
