Margaritas taste much better at shitty clubs like the Key Club when you order them with quality tequilas. I don't normally do that but what can you do? English Beat had the guitarist from The Specials as a special guest. They were fun. ABC was fun for the first couple of songs. They repeated songs they had already played for their encore. That was lame. The English Beat were out of Tshirts in my size. The guitarist for ABC wore a really bad white suit and there were a lot of gay guys in the crowd who turned to each other and sang "shoot that poison arrow!"

I was going to make fun of you before I remembered English Beat was really good, and ABC had their moments. I guess it's not like you went to see Haircut 100 or something.

Carry on.

I thought it was very cheesy to book me under both
names. It was not my doing, and by the time I found
out there was nothing I could do but live with it.

The sound system belongs to the Casino.

Form over substance is a deadly trap.
We played a variety of different songs, I wore a
different shirt, and was careful to introduce some new
dialogue! The horns are real sax's and trumpets
recorded to the digital hardrive. The nobodies you
mention include members of the Goo Goo Dolls and The
Supreme Beings of Leisure. The Casino said it was the
most succesful show they'd ever put on in the room.

Sorry you felt cheated by your second free show in a
month, and on the strength of that I don't suppose
you'll ever come to another. You are free to be
disappointed.

---------------------------------
To whom it may concern:
I would like to express my disappointment for a recent
show that I attended in Reno, Nevada. After seeing
what was supposed to be General Public two weeks prior
and looking oh so forward to seeing The English Beat,
I was beyond words when I saw the same exact band as
was billed as General Public, wearing pretty much the
same exact outfits, playing the same exact songs and
prefacing the songs with the same exact dialogue.
What used to be one of my favorite bands of all times
has become a House Band it seems with a bunch of
nobodies, fake horns and a terrible "lounge" sound.
It may as well have been the house band of the sleazy
casino it was billed in playing covers. Boo. Thumbs
down.
