Im sure that you all probably know this but when i found out i couldnt stop smiling.
I had always thought "Die eier von Satan" was a creepy song and seriously, The German language is scary!
One day I decided to find out what the hell he was singing, I used Altavista.com's Babelfish....aaand it turned out he was singing some recipe :rolleyes:

yeah, I knew about it a month after the c.d. was made back then, it's a recipe for wedding cookies in Mexico.

I really enjoy the new album as well. I mean, Die eier von Satan is a hilarous thing but I buy a c.d. to jam out on. I'm so glad the new one doesn't have so much b.s. that you have to fastfoward through. 6-7 minute songs, it's a solid album.

Lead singer Maynard Keenan wrote this. It sounds kind of ridiculous because it is in German, but once you understand what he wrote it's quite funny and meaningful. The majority of people listening to this song are going to hear a passionate German speaker and an enraptured, cheering crowed, which they will automatically associate to Hitler his many public speeches. The lyrics, however, are nothing but a recipe for a dessert called "The Balls (Eggs) of Satan." Throughout the speech Maynard is heard saying the phrase, "Und kine Eier." Which means " And no eggs." This is where it gets confusing. Eggs actually DO represent the Jewish people. Eggs are an essential baking ingredient because they give the food it's fullness and texture. Historically, the Jews are known to do the same for any culture they integrated themselves into. Without eggs, a recipe is flat, and without Jews, a culture is flat. Viginti Tres is from the new one. I"m digging it and the bassist is really showing off his ability on it.

Oh and I said it die eier von satan was a recipe for Mexican wedding cookies. I meant it was a similar recipe for the cookies which requires no eggs.
