It was his dad, actually. I never found it strange, but looking back there were tons of warning signs. He called Wayne EVERY NIGHT to talk to him. Mind you, Wayne is a full-grown boy at this point, but would still wonder if his dad didn't call him at night. Wayne developed a stealing problem because his dad paid for everything. Wayne couldn't do the major he had his heart set on because his dad wouldn't let him. His dad paid for his school, his car, and even got him the job working back home through his equally as rich Jewish friends.

But I know what you mean. His parents went out and met his brother's girlfriend's family a MONTH after they started dating, which was 7 MONTHS into Wayne's and my relationship. They made a point to stay away from my non-Kosher family. I was even banned from his house. Our children would have been less loved than the other, perfect, Jewish grandchildren. And even if I converted, I wouldn't be Jewish by blood. When Wayne got mad at his dad and said "What's your problem?" his dad responded "Well, how would you like it if your daughter brought home a BLACK guy?"
