Does anyone remember what this TV show was called?

does anyone know of a tv show where a guy who drove an ambulance lived in a house with a family? maybe it was from the 90's. there was an episode where he tries to get personal car insurance, but they won't let him have it. he even uses an infomercial that says they'll give insurance to just about anyone but they won't give it to him. the door is on the right side of the house. they have stairs.
