It sucks as I expected it would, but in a completely different way. What were the Stones thinking?
Funny how you hear about something for years and it's finally available and it's not what you thought.

I liked The Who's performance. That was it. Good thing my copy was just taped off of VH1. (y)

Gosh the Who were cute back then.
Salt of the Earth used to be a favorite Stones song of mine ages ago, so they get a few points for closing with that.
For the love of god, what was Marianne Faithful's appeal?
I have to give best performance to Jethro Tull.

Oh yeah, forgot about the Jethro Tull performance. Okay, The Who and Jethro Tull were the only good bits from Rock and Roll Circus.
I used to have a crush on Townsend. He was so cute back then. :o

it's been a long time since I've seen it but I remember it not being too bad. I think it's main value is that it documents an interesting period of the Stones' history.

Brian Jones is painful to watch, I believe he died two weeks later. John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Mitch Mitchell and Keith Richards did a pretty good turn of 'Yer Blues.
I give it **1/2 stars and a thumb up Roger Eberts butt. :)

I just rewatched the Stones' part in this. Jagger is really in his element.
