I had an amazing time!
Got there Thursday at noon, got picked up by Ann and Brian then headed into Brooklyn and ate pizza then off to Mt Vernon, where I was staying with Allison,Annie and Randy ,spent the night eating more pizza and drinking bottles of Stella I bought at some store. Friday was at a show by No One and The Somebodies somewhere out of town in a community centre so it was one of those fuckin all ages gigs so no beers, just free pepsi and pizza but it was good I saw NOATS play so there. Saturday went into town to a studio on Broadway to watch The Vibration do a photo shoot for Bust magazine then in the evening they played Knitting Factory and I got drunk a lot then Sunday played Kickball for Tigers in Brooklyn against Sugartits(think we won that one?) and then against Pirates which we won as soon as I scored a run.
Monday....was gonna go take a walk around the city and do touristy stuff but it rained so I thought ,fuck it ,do it next time I'm here, maybe in a couple of months. Didn't get chance to meet up with Pauli and other NY BBMBers but like I said...next time(y)

Hey Paul I'm sure you know from experience that------when it's three o'clock in New York, it's still 1938 in London.

I don't know I think I was playing on the Queen/Parliament thing.
Now that I look at it----------it is kinda obtuse.

ah,ok man!
I really liked the prices on 40 oz booze (y)
NYC is one of a kind. I get chills every time I walk out of Penn Station.
I am probably as far removed from New York as you, now that I have moved to the High Plains of Texas.

have you got a cowboy hat?
I already had a straw outlaw lookin cowboy hat.
I did go into a western wear store. Cowboy hats are behind the counter and you have to be sized. They are really wide brimmed and expensive. The cowboy boot section is huge. I just don't have the desire to have the cowboy style of dress. Skin tight Wrangler jeans, cowboy boots, big belt buckle, button down shirt and a cowboy hat. I see cowboys everyday and I still can't get used to it.

yeah, they must think they're still in the 70's and all that
They are actually pretty friendly. The people here are all nice and the younger people tend to stray away from the western clothes. I like the town. I was getting tired of snarled traffic, humidity and high cost of living.
We just bought an awesome 1929 Victorian that is over 4,000 sq feet for $230 grand. The guy is leaving a brand new pool table and huge wide screen TV in the gameroom. I can't wait to get in when we close on June 30th.
