First point:

School sucks and I refuse to study a 10-page study guide on environmental geology.

Second point:

Grinding your teeth at night sucks, because then you have to get a nightguard like a total dork.

Third point:

High-speed chases totally rule. I saw one yesterday, a cop tried to pull over this dude on a motorcycle and the fucker wouldn't stop. Awesome.(y)

Fourth point:

Job interviews suck. But I might be getting a job in the Louis Vuitton district of town, working at a plastic surgeon's office. How snotty would THAT be?

Fifth point:

I have way too much ADD for my own good.

I work for a dentist so he made me a nightguard for free. And I can't stop playing with it.

Interesting side note: making out with your nightguard gives you a good idea of what kind of a kisser you are. (!)

so you are constantly making out with your mouthguard?

Yes.

And I keep prying it off my teeth and sucking it back on. It's really tight so it makes this awesome popping suction noise when you peel it off.

I've got a bad oral fixation. But then again, I think most chicks do.

At least you get sleep. Tomorrow's my last final for my undergrad career, so no sleep. And then again tomorrow night, because I have to finish 5 pages for my paper and turn it in.

i remember those days....i used to have an architecture studio (for five years) which ate up all of my time. especially around this time of the year!
i never slept those days! it was fun though...because i got to work in this really old state gym, with tall ceilings and giant arched trusses...everything echoed, and there were always many many kids there working on things. it was fun:) a good creative vibe in there

Yeah...I feel what you're saying about the nightguards QAD. They're uncomfortable and are one of the most expensive fancy pieces 'o plastic I can think of.

I paid almost 3 hundred dollars for mine! Well, 20 percent of that anyways. Gotta love the job benefits. (y)

Holy shit. I feel bad that I didn't pay anything. :(

And I'm studying environmental geology tonight...for my history degree. Go figure.

Pop it in and giv'r!

While expensive, it didn't really come as a surprise. Dental work costs some coin. I get to see the inside of my mouth on a little closed-circuit monitor now! It it strangely soothing. Contrary to what i've thought of it up to now, watching what the dude is doing to my mouth reassures me more now.

It might be so because i'm kicked back at the time of a procedure, in this ultimate recliner and nowadays with a tv showing some National Geographic show...only it's my MOUTH

Anxiety dreams, I get those too, borders on a recurring nightmare. I'm hoping that the regularity of these will allow me to master lucid dreaming. Making a positive out of a negative.

yeah, i have one too. my boyfriend has gone past the point of gently nudging me awake when i'm doing it to just elbowing me in the ribs. i don't wear mine anymore though. purely because having a giant piece of rubber in your mouth makes you sleep with it a little open and you drool like a bastard. ugh. my doctor prescribed me valium [a very lose dose!] to relax the muscles last year though and it helped. i didn't repeat the prescription though because he said it can become, uh, addictive.

drizl, having dreams about teeth falling out etc is one of the most common dreams for teenagers/young people as they get older. losing teeth = losing childhood, entering adulthood etc etc blah worrying about self image bleh. i get them quite a lot. also dreams about water/boating, but i don't know what the significance of that is.

i learnt to stop a recurring dream. i just kept thinking before going to sleep that when the lights appear i know it's just a dream. cause when those lights appeared all sorts of crazy shit started happening. it worked too, but i'd also start controlling my dreams more too. i have kinda lost that a bit. you need to meditate fairly regularly.

that's very interesting. i had one of those dreams a few nights ago, and i thought it was a "warning" 'cause i hadn't brushed my teeth that day.
