2 years after TT5B

Does anyone know if BB are working on the new album? I know it's maybe too early to ask, cuz it's just 2 years after their last LP, but I just can't wait the new one... Although I liked TT5B, I wish the next album was much funnier. Guys - please - drop the politics, celebrate the life! Where are my crazy n nasty Beastie Boys?

I know, I can't wait for some new shit too. But I don't think they're working on it. Maybe a little bit, like they're thinking about it and going to the studio every once in a while. But they got their side projects goin on right now. Like Yauch is working on a graffiti film, Adrock is producing lady soveriegn and doing a bunch of remixes, and Mike is doing something with faith hill I heard. Unless he was just kidding about that. :confused:

Has anyone ever figured out exactly how many political, kinder/gentler lyrics there are in each track for each album?

There were political lyrics in PB and even kinder/gentler tracks like What Comes Around and A Year In A Day.

i met them after the promo gig they had in Sweden. i won tickets the day before i went with my sister. she wasn't exactly a fan of theirs, but i had to go with an adult since i was 14, and i knew she'd change her mind about them if she actually saw them perform (she did). after the show we waited 30-45 minutes outside Nalen, where the show had been, but there was no sight of them, so we were like "okay, fuck it, let's go". then just around the corner, there they were, about to leave! some norwegian dudes were all around Horovitz, and Mike was already in the back of a car, and Yauch was sitting in the front. this fat (uhm, i mean big) security guy was like "we gotta go man", and pushed me aside when i tried to get to Yauch. i'm glad i was stubborn, 'cause eventually i got all of their autographs. i remember asking Yauch "Adam, can you sign this?" and handed him CYH and a green pen. he said "yeah sure" and asked "so how's it going?" while signing it, and i answered something like "oh it's going fine", lol. (can you actually say that?) i was feeling giddy. then i got the stuff back and thanked him. et cetera, et cetera.
