must have sleep. I've only managed to sleep 2 hours a day for 3 days. I really think I'll dab into some of my homemade wine when I get home.

Along with this sleep depervation, I've had this annoying twitch on my left lower eyelid. So here I am, bloodshot eyes and a twitching eyelid.

I was just about to start a "My back is killing me" thread till I saw this!

SO um, my back is killing me. I had to call the doctor today to get muscle relaxants, but I can't take them till I want to go to sleep because they make you uber drowsy. It's my lower back, too. So all of my weight from my torso is bearing down on this one exact point, and that point is totally shot to hell and doesn't want to support any weight at all and is THROBBING!

I already took 3 Bayer Back&Body relief pills, and I'm sitting here with a heating pad and it STILL KILLS! I need a massage or something. :(

I look retarded when I walk too, because I have to carry myself in a certain way to not exert even more pressure on the point. And that posture in turn starts making my upper back throb. Bleh. :(

It could be your computer chair or your bed. My single bed caused me alot of back problems because i was too tall for it, and it was 12 years old, so I got a new queen queen sized one :)

I used to get alot of back problems from cricket, i had to get a physio to tell me what i was doing wrong in my bowling action. Now its ok, still plays up a bit after bowling 6+ overs though.

Lucky boy. :(

I'm going to ask for time off if this shit doesn't get better. I'm bringing meds and a heating pad to work because I'm being slowly murdered over here. It's making me have shooting pains down my leg, too.

Ouch. (n)

That butthole lives in Canada, which I think is pretty rude considering the pain I'm in.

I had to come home early. :(

Happy pills are on the way though. :)

SCIATICA.

I had that once. Ohmygod. I actually made it in to work but wound up in the emergency room. That's some nasty pain, right there. They gave me a shot of something and wound up keeping me overnight.

I'm starting to get worried. It hurts even lying down now. I've got a wedding to go to tomorrow, and graduation on Monday.

I'm such an old fart. :(

I'm such an old fart. :(Sounds like Sciatica, which is basically nerve irritation. Very little to do with age, except that repetitive stress can cause it.

I had/have it and changed my lifestyle a few years back to strengthen the core and protect the spine. I've got 3 irritated discs in my back. Most people have it a least once in their life.

You're 23. You think it's bad now? Wait until you get where I'm at, sweetie, when it feels like someone's stabbing you in the chest with a butcher knife when you sneeze to fucking hard.

Or when you bend over to pick something up on the floor and you notice that you just grunted. You're like, "OMG!! Where the fuck did that come from? When did I start doing that?"

You don't know half the fun yet.

The underlying cause of back pain is a breakdown of the normal biomechanics of the spine after months or even years of poor posture, inactivity, muscle weakness, smiling too teethy, and improper lifting techniques. The spine and its supporting structures function together much like a Slinky or a sexy snake.

A strong, balanced and flexible back is created and maintained by the synchronized effort of back, abdomen and trunk muscles, which stabilize pressure and counteract tension placed on the spine by outside forces. If an imbalance from the big chair's weakness or poor spelling occurs, the chain does not function smoothly, resulting in uneven areas of wear, weakness and spasm, but no orgasm.
