When you stay inside and play them for a few hours, they really do get inside your head. Case and point: My brother's been playing GTA:VC a lot lately. The other day, we're on the road and we see a high speed chase, and he turns to me and asks "I wonder if we knock him off his bike if the cops will give us a $50 reward." Yeah, he was kidding but the idea that it even went through his head is a wee bit scary.
I have another friend who couldn't leave the house for half an hour after playing Grand Theft Auto, because he felt like he'd be a danger to society. Weird.

does anyone know the noise the grendades make in half life 2(deathmatch)?
well one day i was sitting on the bench wating for the bus to go home from work and i heard something that sounded just like those gernades. i shot up ready to bolt in the other direction. but it quickly dawned on me and i sat my retarded ass back down and laughed at myself. my heart was pounding.

I always wonder if I'll get points for hitting elderly citizens while driving.
They are the most points.

After a summer of playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I used to wonder if I could find rupees in the fields near my house. :(

I remember playing doom in 90-something and when we got to a level with all these skulls in cages me and my brother would get a wee bit nervous.
Compared to new games it didn't look realistic at all but compared to commander keen its practically virtual reality

Probably the best game ever created...
Back when my brother was playing the game, when he'd get something he wanted or find something lost, etc. he would hold it above his head, and hum the whole "da da da da" theme that plays when you get an item in the game. He was being sarcastic, of course. But still...

I STILL do that! When I'm with my friend Jacob and I'm looking through my cabinets for something to eat, I'll just yell out "Diana found: Chocolate Chip Cookies!" and hold it above my head triumphantly and spin it around.

i was sitting in the mac g5 lab in college once, and its directly across from the balcony of the student bar, and sitting out on the balcony was a large selection of the college's worst cunts, and for a split second I assumed I could pull out the rocket launcher from GTA and fire a missile at them. I think i even saw the square targeting system.

so video games are basically a way to escape from reality once and a while. To do things you can't do in real life.
Back in the early 80's my friend had a computer game called, shit, I can't exactly remember the title. Maybe Stroker 69 or something like that.
It had a pic of some guy's face for the graphics and you had to wiggle the joystick just right and if you did it wrongly, his weiner would go limp and if you did it right, he'd smile untill he came.
I always thought that game was so fucking stupid because for one thing, at that age it surely wasn't an escape from the real world and for another, if you'd actually think about it, you're fucking jerking off some guy on the computer for christ's sakes.

I've looked at high places wondering if I could swing on them using a mechanical arm like in Bionic Commando. :(
That game was realistic!

i plat gta too much, but don't remember taking anything from it into the real life.
i always see things around and am like, i bet if this was tony hawk, you could do an ace grind on that.
i do that not involving tony hawk when im without my board too.

I've also wanted to pick up trash cans and tires like in River City Randsom and knock out gang members when i'm in certain parts of L.A. but I think I could only do it in real life two player mode like if Nort. LOL was walking with me or something.

i don't skate, but i did that all the time too, back when i was crazy about the tony hawk games.
sometimes i'll have marathon gaming sessions for no particular reason (i'm talking like 8-10 hrs in one sitting...gotta do something instead of sex), and it'll really fuck with my brain for the next few days. my most recent one was Oblivion, and i was walking to class the next day, and it was all i could do to not walk up to people and try to press the spacebar to talk to them. i was admiring how nice the day's graphics were, for god's sake.
i once played a strategy game for far too long before i went to bed one day, and i woke up frantically in the middle of the night trying to sort out which side i was on. it really put me into a panic because nothing else could ever possibly hope to make sense until i figured it out.
anyway the lesson here is not to play games for 10 hour sittings. or at least not to play one single game for that stretch of time. switch it up now and then

I used to play a lot of sports games when I was younger with my cousin, and after a game against each other, the loser had to interview the winner like it was a post game press conference.
We always had a good time with that.

the most i play games for is 1-2 hours. but i might play for 10 cause that experience sounds fun...
it's really a trip. stay up as late as you possibly can, you really start to lose your mind a little. it's fun, in moderation.

Battlefield 2 is pretty realistic. So much so that I hear weird clicks when I walk down the streets and every shadow I see makes me go for that non-existent silenced 92FS in my pocket. When I see cars I am thinking should I plant mines in the front or the back of it. Jets roaring over just make me run for cover. Don't even get me started what happens when I see a flag of any kind or colour being hoisted on a flagpole.
Otherwise, I'm pretty normal.

What type of video game related dreams has everybody had? I used to dream of sonic and Civ II, now I dream of Red Alert 2 and Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War.

When I first played GTA III for 5 hours plus on end, I'd have to avoid driving soon after. I'd get the urge to run people over or ram cars or fuck with the police.
It's bad news sometimes. I've never had that problem with any other game though.

Any game I have been playing intensly to the point of sleep deprivation gives me dreams - especially very cerebral games like TCGs or strategy games. Long-term games like RPGs often do too.

I'm more prone to sport wood over the video game version rather than the movie version of Lara Croft.
