A simple thread because I'm bored and feeling dumb.

I like:

picture frames
my bright green keychain coil
showers with my boyfriend
sleeping in
clean linens dried on a line outside
old chairs
weathered finishes
kitschy dog / cat related artwork
fuzzy donkeys
spooning
baseball season
haggling at garage sales
fresh flowers
flip flops
piglets

:)

Your turn, weenies.

showers with my boyfriend
I like showers with your boyfriend, too. :p

I like.....

hearing my daughter say, "I love you, Daddy."

the White Sox

the South Side

Chicago in the summertime

a good book and a pint of Ben and Jerry's on a rainy day

the feel on new cotton socks with new Nikes

sitting in Olive park in the late afternoon and looking across the Ohio Street beach at the sun setting behind the buildings that line Lake Shore Drive. It kinda cool how it shimmers and dances on the water. I have no worries when I'm out there. It's my favorite place in the entire city.

feeling needed

seeing two litte old people scooting down the street hand in hand. I love seeing that shit. I always think to myself, "How the fuck did they make it last so long?" I wish I knew the secret.

tattoos

sitting in a nice, small corner neighborhood bar with a group of friends laughing, drinking and making memories that will stick.

having someone to stand side by side with me and kick life's ass, ride or die. Lately I've been getting fucked up pretty good fighting alone.

These are some of the things I like.

I've got quite a few friends from Ashland as well as Ashtabula, Bucyrus, Akron, Mansfield and Huron.

Some of my good ole skating and jam buddies are from that area.

Not sure if you've ever been to Port Clinton but it's a fairly small town bordering Lake Erie. It's where I'm from. If you like to fish, go there and get some walleye and when your pride and joy gets older, take him fishing there(y)

I missed 2 winters while living in South Florida. I can't wait to bundle up.

Oh, and Ericlee, I have heard of Port Clinton. I think it is near Michigan? West of Sandusky? Am I right?
I will miss fishing in Florida but now I will have to explore and find other activities.

Yeah, true dat Yeti, there's vast water which leads to some monsterous fishing in Florida.

I've lived in West Palm for 8 months but have only managed to surf a little but I can just imagine the thrill of catching a marlin.

I've got a feeling your son will give that remote just the right kick to change the t.v. to the History channel.(y)

I didn't know you were in West Palm. I am going back to Lake Worth in late June to have all of our furniture and other vehicle moved to Northwest Texas.
I was just getting used to South Florida when my wife got her big job offer. If she keeps getting these offers our family will be like the Barnum & Bailey Circus.

I lived there about 5 months prior to Hurricane Andrew. It was supposed to be just a 2 week visit but being that you've lived there for a while you know that 2 weeks in Florida just isn't long enough.

Oh man, I've been through Texas as well and it's gotta be one dramatic change for you but it's good to hear that your wife has got a nice job.

I've had the circus life since 18, half because of the army and the other just out of curiousity.

I've got a little house on the river in Oak Harbor, about 10 minutes from Port Clinton. When I'm old and grey and my girl's old enough to be on her own, that's where me and the wife will retire.

Well, it's bedtime and I do like to sleep if I can.
In addition to sleeping, I like the dreams I've been having lately where I can speak every language known to man.

Edit: yeah, very correct about the location of Port Clinton.

Sandusky= Cedar Point, the best place in the world to take your family.

Seeing a heterosexual senior citizen couple hold hands...not to help one another stand, but because, even after all these decades, they still love/need one another.

Pastel colors.

The giggles of a small child. Unless he/she's being a bastard.

Women in bikinis.

Rap music. Not of the fun-loving, innocent Black Eyed Peas variety that my aunts get down to at family functions, but more of the fun-loving Lamborghini doors on the Escalade, misogynistic, violent variety that my infant daughter enjoys dancing to on Saturday mornings.

Mangoes.

The sounds that baby goats make. Unless they're being bastards.

Finding large sums of money in my pocket that I forgot about.

Doing a hundred push-ups before eating a cupcake so I feel like I earned it.

Edit: I forgot to mention Balderdash. I enjoy playing Balderdash.

Seeing a heterosexual senior citizen couple hold hands...

Why did you insert heterosexual in this sentence? I guess homosexual senior citizens would hold hands. I would like to see 2 90 year old men holding hands. It would be an interesting sight. Although, I would not classify it as one of my favorite things.

I was just being specific. I can't say that seeing two old men holding hands would make me happy because I haven't really ever seen that, and don't really know how it would make me feel.
