it's true. at least maybe it is.

they're digging on a farm in milford, mi. some 93 year old dude in jail gave them a tip. the fbi guys are all up here.

we're debating whether to just show up with shovels and start helping out.

it's pretty doubtful they will find him; that farm is huge.

Pretty sure I know who he his. Did they make reference to him in a simpson episode? The one where homer becomes the head of a union? He asks what happend to the last guy and it cuts away to an american football game where a player falls over a body shaped mound on the floor?

Jimmy Hoffa was the head of the Teamsters Union here back in the 60's and 70's. The Teamsters are a very powerful union and if you have control of the president then you have control of alot of lucrative trucking contracts and a pension fund that is basically your own personal bank account. That's where the mob comes in. People believe that Hoffa was the mob's puppet. He got tired of doing the mob's bidding and he mysteriously disappeared.

Try Google-ing Jimmy Hoffa and Teamsters Union to get more correct info.

Prosecutor: FBI calling off Hoffa search

Tuesday, May 30, 2006; Posted: 1:43 p.m. EDT (17:43 GMT)

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Michigan (AP) -- The FBI is wrapping up its two-week search of a suburban Detroit horse farm after finding no trace of former Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa's remains, a local prosecutor said Tuesday.

Oakland County Prosecutor David Gorcyca told The Associated Press he was informed by Bloomfield Township police that the search was ending without any remains found at the Hidden Dreams Farm in Milford Township.

The Detroit Free Press, citing an anonymous federal official, also reported Tuesday that the search had ended with no trace of Hoffa.

FBI spokeswoman Dawn Clenney did not immediately return a call from the AP seeking comment. Bloomfield Township Police Chief Donald Zimmerman would neither confirm nor deny that the FBI is wrapping up its search.

Hoffa disappeared in July 1975 from a Detroit-area restaurant about 20 miles from Hidden Dreams Farm, land once owned by Hoffa associate Rolland McMaster.

McMaster's attorney Mayer Morganroth said he was not surprised that the search was wrapping up with the mystery still unsolved.

"We never expected that anything was there," he said, adding that the FBI likely felt pressured to respond to the tip, lest it seem as if it was not trying to solve the case.
