oh and stupid question:o but my brother wants to know if you put a record and start scratching it. is it messed up permanetly?

Don't scratch your good records, eventually they wont play as well

get your mums ABBA and put the needle to the record.

it all depends. you talking about being a scratch dj? or like a house dj? or just some who likes putting on one record after another? i can only help with the last one.

I can point you in the general direction with the first one, but nahhh.

Do you want to scratch or just beatmatch? Beatmatching is kind of easy, it's just a matter of practice, practice and practice. And patience. Even I learned to beatmatch, and believe me I can't do anything fancy with my hands.

To be a good turntablist is another story. I believe they come from somewhere else.

best thing to do is drop about $1000 on equipment (easily!) and buy about $200 dollars worth of records and try it

it's fun and addicting

here's a pic of my setup (http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y132/rhythmfiction/?action=view&current=IM000356.jpg)
