Permanent Avatars. Who here has stayed true to an avatar for more than a year? I think when I look at threads, I see avatars more than I see usernames. I guess its a mental substitution for your appearance. I mean you can't go past Tracky's classic one hes just bought back. But if I met tracky in real life I think I'd be highly confused if he wasnt jumping up and down waving his arms. Tal's hip is another one. Gmile's tupac (from the gangsta party video??) too. So yeah Permatars (y)

The first avatar I had was a Howard Dean avatar during the primaries (I had to ditch it when it was clear that Dean wasn't gonna win the nomination :( ), then I begged for suggestions of a replacement avatar and HEIRESS gave me this cute avatar of a green smiley face riding a surf board or something, so that kept me content for awhile.

Then I decided I needed a change, so I sported a kick-ass Hank Williams avatar and had that for awhile. Later on, I sprung for a James Dean avatar and kept that until Knuckles decided to dish out tailor-made avatars for anyone interested. I planned to change it back to James Dean a week later, but got lazy and just kept it.

Then I saw Randetica use a James Dean avatar of her own, so I didn't want to appear like a copycat. :o

I've had mine from the start, never bothered to jump on the bandwagon of changing into different themes. On some forums I change mine all the time, on some not. But I try to write in darkorchid/purple where possible.
