it was my first day at university, and i had just met my roomate and, uh.. moved in.
she looked at me with a cheeky smile and said "do you smoke weed?" and me, having asked to go in a non-smoking room, let alone weed-smoking, said shyly "eh, NO!" and then her friend [my boyfriend] came in and said "don't scare her claire! [the other girl was called claire too] put that pipe away!" and then proceeded to look at my cd collection and say it was awesome.

I met my wife on one of my travels.
I was at the forbidden city in Shengyen and she was there with her friends. She was talking perfect English, kinda with an accent of a northerner and just out of curiousity, I asked her where she was from because I thought she was a Chinese American.
She told me she was from China and she speaks good English because she teaches it.
We dated for a year and then fell in love and got married.

I've been on a recruitment dating drive recently. I haven't got one 'proper' date.
I'm normally really really shy but I don't wanna be single atm so I started to ask all girls out that I had a slight fancy in. They either say: "I have a bf already" or "no cus I'm lesbian" or "I find you replusive". Which I'm fine with:
Then you get others who say yes then then text you to say: "Srry, I already have a bf and don't want to lead you on", "I broken both ankles and can't see you", "you scare me" etc
So yeah, they are my stories at my current finding a significant other venture.
It'd be cool to have a gf for the world cup thats all. I dunno why cus it is normally the oppersite but girls get into football to during the world cup and it's nice to have something in common for a month once every 4 years.
I suck :(

The guy I'm in limbo with - I've known him for a long time, we had a lot of the same friends that I had worked with years ago, so we've been seeing each other at the same parties for like 4 years.
He dated one of my best friends very briefly a few years ago, but it ended on a weird note, so as a result I never ended up really talking to to him because they had a weird thing.
Then at a friend's going-away party I was drunk and finally started talking to him...I was obssessed with rubbing his beard. A bunch of us were on a hammock and soon everyone left and we made out and then started hanging out like every day.
ah feck :( I miss him
p.s. like every guy before him for the past few years would have been "i met him on the internet"

Square Dance compititon.
A friend of mine introduced us. As cheesy as this sounds, the minute I saw her I knew I was going to marry her. She says the same.
It was a bit messy at first. The friend who introduced us "was in love" with her, so I didn't pursue it, even though she told him hundreds of times that she didn't see them like that (according to him, her, and their friends).
Whenever we hung out, he could see that we hit it off really well, so he decided to try and sabotage it.
I found out that he told her that I said I was only nice to her to get some ass, a hit it and quit it scenario. Which wasn't true.
And he told me that she said she was only nice to me because of my drugs. Which was really funny because this was when I was coming out of my whole drug phase and rarely had anything.
Then he just kept making up shit about me and telling her and doing the same to me about her. After all that bullshit, we said, fuck it and started hanging out. Fast forward about 5 years and we are married. It just goes to prove that we were totally using eachother for other things.
We kind of wanted to send him a thank you card with a picture of us to sincerely thank him, not to rub it in or anything, but to really really thank him for introducing us. But after all of his phone calls calling my parents house telling them that im a drug dealer and the time we fought and after he stole my bass and burned it...we decided to just leave it alone.
The End

At my local bar. My girlfriend Jill and I went out that night, and I really wasn't open to meeting local guys. I had a very fun, no strings attached fling going on with a Canadian guy who visited every few months. I was satisfied with that situation. But I remeber the exact moment Dan turned around at the bar and smiled at me. The first thing that ran through my head was OH NO! the second thing was OMG he's so incrediably cute! we kept making eye contact an I could just not get over his great smile. I went to the bathroom and he bought Jill, me and my friends a round of drinks. When I got back to the table they told me who had ordered the drinks and I went out to talk to him and thank him. Eventually we ended up driving out to the beach and making out.:D
I ended the fling with the canadian and the rest is history.
ah...LOVE!

it all started when i was invited out by my friend Katie and some guys she had met on the internet. She was particuarly interested in Graham and he came along with his friend Chris and his brother Paul, we went bowling with them which i hated but its always good to try new things! Anyway Katie and Graham didn't like each other that much in the flesh so it was me and Paul that were in the limelight. It was on the second ge to gether that i learned he had a girlfriend, Vicky (eww). I managed to convince him that they weren'y suited (they were always arguing) and last week we got together! No were in the early stages and anythings possible

Every guy that I've gotten seriously involved with, I've met at university, bookstores, running meets, or the library.I hate to quote myself but I will because it's a holiday weekend.
I think ^^ is because most of the guys that I've met, I've met mostly doing things that are related to the fields that I'm studying. I rarely, rarely talk about those studies with people outside of the related areas--when I've tried to broach those topics--even if I do it very, very gently or casually--people tend to get off topic quickly (steer the conversatoin elsewhere) and that kills about 75% of what I want to or am qualified to talk about. :)

Wayne I met through sparkmatch.com. We were both on there just for fun, and we ended up talking because we found out we both hated pulp in our orange juice, chocolate ice cream, and loved mushroom and sausage pizza. Those specific tastes are rare, so after I found that shit out I was like, I bet we're really compatible with other stuff. We were.
I met Brett through here. :o
So in conclusion, I feel so much more comfortable meeting people online than I do in real life. Just because you can talk to them online and do the get-to-know-you shit much easier, and you can better tell if it'll work out between you two. For example, you can find out through profiles whether or not someone's a damn dirty Republican, which for me, would automatically put that person out of the running. If you meet in real life and think they're cute and it turns out they're conservative, well...that's a huge let-down. I'm pretty shy in real life too, so it just works out better for me.
It weeds out the people I don't want to talk to before I even decide to start a discussion. (y)

She and I crossed paths for years but our conflicting cultures always got in the way. Me being a mere man and she, an elf cursed with eternal life. It wasn't until I gained the courage to trek across the planet, help a midget toss a ring into a volcano and lead my people to victory that she finally put out. All the while, I managed to keep my 5 o clock shadow absolutely flawless.
It weeds out the people I don't want to talk to before I even decide to start a discussion. (y)

#1 invited out to play tennis with him by a mutual friend, then he got beat in the head with a beer bottle by some drunk dude on the courts and it was pure love after that
#2 his best friend said I should date him cause I was the coolest single lady he knew, so I hit on him at da clubbbbbb by slamming a stolen jug of beer against his crotch and yelling CHEERS! which led to furious making out later on
#3 via mutual friends at da clubbbbbbbb, he asked me to slow dance but I couldnt cause I was carrying my big ole hobo bag plus my friends large purse and another friends jacket so we just kinda stood on the dance floor and he said
"man, you got alotta baggage"
and I said
"wow, lil early to be making those kinda judgement calls dontcha think?"

I met Melanie through Safewalk (for those who don't know... it's a service on campus where co-ed teams wear spiffy yellow jackets and walk people to their cars/homes when it's late at night and they feel unsafe). Because it was the spring and summer sessions during school (i.e. most of the regular population is GONE), this meant that very few people ever signed up for shifts. Since I was pretty much the only guy signing up and she was pretty much the only girl signing up, we ended up doing LOTS of shifts together. The more we saw each other, the more we liked each other. Basically, she grew on me, and the feeling was mutual. I randomly asked her if she had a MySpace account, but she had no clue what it was. When I explained it to her, she went and got one about a week later and she added me out of the blue. Through her profile, I learned she loved Indiana Jones and I started falling in love with her because I found out about things that we previously didn't discuss.
There was a period of a week or two where Safewalk was closed, so we decided to meet up in between the off time. We got drunk one time and ended the night with our arms around each other and she crashed at my place. The next week, we went to The Mod Club and danced and so forth, and the sexual tension just amped itself exponentially. Before I knew it, she was in my bed and we were making out. :o
And yeah, I met Diana through here. I learned that we'd both be in New York at close to the same time and proposed we meet up. However, it turned out we'd be there during different days. Her friend Sarah (who I was also in contact with) proposed that I just take a bus to DC and visit for a day. And I ended up doing that. Diana showed me round town and we visited all the sites and such and then in the evening we met up with Sarah and a bunch of her other friends. Predictably, alcohol got involved and then outta nowhere... yes, you guessed it... we started making out.
Thanks alcohol!
