It was officially released on the internet. It's not considered a b-side, the only b-sides of TT5B is Now Get Busy, Brr Stick 'em, and And Then I. It's considered a miscellaneous along with This Government Needs A Tune Up.

I just picked up a one of the few 12" vinyls pressed of IAWGM.
This was released here on the website back in March of 2003. The site went down for a while then all of a sudden it popped back up with pretty much just the song and the lyrics.
There's some good info here at beastiemania. (http://www.beastiemania.com/songspotlight/show.php?s=inaworldgonemad&band=b)

You can listen to it here (http://www.spring-garden-vfc.com/beastie/index.cfm?SectionID=4). Good song. (y) Yeah, I think that song was released on the internet too.

I'm glad it wasn't on. Not that it would've done much difference.

Man, it's rare when I flat out DON'T like a Beastie Boys song. Like not at all. "In A World Gone Mad" is one of those rare cases. I just have never been able to get into it at all.
I remember someone posting the lyrics at a message board I go to, and the subject title was, "Wow. The Beastie Boys Have Really Fallen Off!" After reading the lyrics, and then actually hearing the song, I was about to agree.
Luckily, I heard To The 5 Boroughs, and then "This Goverment Needs A Tune Up", and I was like, "Phew. They've still got it."

I just popped on my 12" vinyl of IAWGM. I haven't heard the song in well over a year, and I was diggin' it.
Hard to believe we've been in Iraq for over 3 years...

"George Bush, you’re looking like Zoolander" - haha, I like it
Although it is VERY political, IAWGM and 'This Government' are cool

ok, i didn't check the beastiemania.com page so if it says this then... its a waste of time, but oh well.
IAWGM - released in late 2003 (im pretty sure) and was put up as a download becuz the beastie boys felt that by time the album (TT5B) was done the song wouldn't have the impact it had at the time. So they released it then and in my opinion its not bad, the beats are awesome, the lyrics a bit off though, but the chorus is cool.
TGNAT (this government needs a tuneup) - never 'officially' released, a thread popped up of some guy who rented a car and found the cd in the rental car, so he hosted it and every downloaded it, im pretty sure yauch commented saying its kinda old and they changed alot of teh lyrics since then, but nothing else really... great song on all levels
