....I have no idea how I got the date screwed up, but I've been really stoked, thinking the second season of Entourage comes out on DVD today.
I called the store to reserve a rental copy.... and it's next Tuesday. Crap. I totally had myself set for watching Entourage tonight. It's like... planning on going to a favorite restaurant and, getting there, finding the place is closed.
Damn.

I've only watched some of Sopranos season one. It's really well done, but I kinda don't need to go there, ya know?
This sucks. I don't have TV reception, so I rely on DVD to catch up with everything I'm interested in, and Entourage really hooked me. When we left off, whatshisname was flying the crew to New York to shoot an indie film, and had finally agreed to let whatshisname be his real manager (Eric?), but threatened that if it didn't work out, something about how he couldn't fire his friend, but a manager is replacable. Eric or whoever had really started growing up, taking on Piven's character toe to toe more often. I was digging the whole thing.
"Bang, Spidey!" :D

that's surely a good series. I rented the first season last month and immediatly got entrapped in it.
So, it's coming out next Tuesday? Oh man, can't wait.

June 6.
666.
I'm stoked. (y)
Yeah -- I was kind of surprised how I got sucked right in. On the commentary track, they cited Diner as an influence, which I thought -- yeah; right on.

My TiVo stopped working so tonight's premiere of Rescue Me will likely be missed. Add that to your DVD list and smoke it.

Did Denis Leary become not-annoying at some point?

How fast is your internet (http://www.torrentspy.com/search.asp?h=&query=Entourage&submit.x=0&submit.y=0) connection?

Did Denis Leary become not-annoying at some point? His annoyingness is part of the show's charm. It actually uses alcholism, 9/11 rhetoric, and lots of religious metaphors to propel itself.

Ah. Okay; fair enough.
I thought they were sort of trying to use his annoyingness in Wag the Dog, also, and I still didn't think it worked.

Ah. No. Huge jobs go in and out all the day long. Right now, they're helping (a company) with a new chip design, among other things.

My boss at my old job would download tons of games, movies and other shit on the company network. Ah well, IT company plus he owned (half) the company so it was his call really.

I was IT at my old job and could do whatever I wanted, as far as that stuff goes. Here, I don't even have rights to install anything on my computer. :(

It was funny when the IT faculty I am in moved in with a bunch of other departments in a huge building. They tried to restrict computer usage and failed miserably.
It's always fun to find security holes.
A restriction is enough of a reason to try and do what they are trying to restrict, whether you intended to do that in the first place.
