The Notorious LOL

everyone was all "dude their new albums lol" and I never bothered to listen.
Their first LP is good though...is anything after that worth even bothering with? My assumptions always been no due mostly to being lazy.
their first LP as in their self-titled?
if so, definately listen to 'Toxicity' - easily their best work.
'Steal This Album' is said to be the songs that didn't make the cut for toxicity - some good songs here and there but i'd put it at the bottom of the first two albums.
mezmerize and hypnotize have some good tracks but it's a lot different than their older stuff. A LOT different. there's some really awesome tracks here and there but i'm still critical about the vocal work.

Exactly what he said.
Listen to Toxicity first. Mezmerize is the better of the two latest releases, I'm still not getting into Hypnotize after all this time. The vocals are too much, avoid it.

personally, i enjoy all of their releases.. first two are definitely more accessible than the most recent two..
they're doing a "headlining show" (outside ozzfest) this summer in my city.. it's a shame they're bringing a bunch of really shitty ozzfest metal bands with them.. i guess i'll just show up late. (3rd time since my first ever show, in 2002 :))

self titled is the best and least bizarre/immature. it has a dark sound to it. very good in my opinion. toxicity is very similar to self titled with a slight pop feel to it compared to the previous. the last two have some real good tracks but there's definitetly some tracks i would be embarrassed to be heard listening to. there's a lot of goofy songs that will either make you laugh of go what the fuck. the last two are much more poppy. steal this album is a collection of tracks that didn't make albums. it's hit or miss like most albums of that type.

I like 'Mind' and 'Aerials' a lot.
